Sometimes (a lot of the time) i get real demotivated and sad in the animation community. It’s a real bummer when you’ve been planning an animation for ages and you put all you effort into it doing 12 or even 24 fps all hand animated and then someone goes and puts your idea out there before you do.

It’s hard to not compare yourself to everyone else especially when they’re pumping out animations that are so much better quality and faster than yours.

Please let me know if anyone else feels like this because it’s just really stressful having time fly past you and all your ideas are left unspoken to the world. Like I love watching other peoples animations and what not but I always feel self critical and sad at the same time.

Finding the motivation to carry on with these projects after finding someone do it ten times better than you is really hard.

silly personal project i’m doing. i’m going to draw myself often including the features of myself i don’t like. this includes insecurities such as my eczema cuts and scars as well as swollen eyes. each drawing i’ll make will represent how beautiful i feel at the time of making it aswell as the parts of myself i need to learn to love.

for this one i felt self conscious about my split lip and my scuffed nose. i felt really disgusting and crusty and couldn’t look at myself in the mirror. but once i drew this it took away some of the insecurities. made me feel a little tough. hell yeah i got a gash on my lip bet you don’t have one of them. thankfully it’s healed by now.

i highly recommend others to try this. it works a lot better than you’d think. message me for tips and tag me if you post it.

Ngl it’s day 13 of inktober and i haven’t even finished day 3. it’s a lot to do so many drawings that i feel i have to upload to social media and i can’t fix them. there’s so much more i’d rather do than these inktober drawings so i’ll probably upload those and get around to the inktober ones whenever i feel like it. it will be inktober inkvember inkcember inkuary and so on.
