If you are taken to this website, do not click anything. This is a malware site that has been infecting computers for a couple years now — the person/people behind this claim that your computer has been a part of illegal activity (violating the Copyright act, viewing/storage of banned pornography, etc.) and that there are fines against you. Do not panic. It is all a lie. On the far right, the website claims that, in order to rid yourself of these fines, you have to buy a MoneyPak from a retail store such as Target or KMart. Do not do it. This just happened to me literally 3 hours ago, and it scared the shit out of me, because I thought it was legit. I even asked my boyfriend, and he went to the website (police-saves.automatednetincome.com) on his phone and it said the exact same thing, but with a different IP address (I blocked mine out for the obvious reasons). He told me not to worry about it, but I couldn’t get it off my mind. So, I Googled the website, and nothing came up. Next, I googled FBI scam, and found this video on Youtube, where a man catches the virus from an infected website (presumably porn amongst many web-users) and removes it.

So please, if you get directed to this website or one that looks similar, the most important thing is to NOT PANIC. It can be resolved. The FBI themselves issued a statement here that this website is a scam, and should not be trusted. Do not take this lightly — this malware virus can destroy your computer.
