If you pay attention to the address bar, it will say imvu. pe. hu. and not imvu.com This is a password logger mask page, and it will steal your password.
UPDATE: It says they don’t exist. That means they changed their name. It doesn’t even say they’re disabled so watch out.
So if you click on ANYONE’S profile and it “logs you out” DO NOT LOG IN. Get off that page immediately! To be sure you were logged out or not, go to the regular official website to check. Don’t fall victim to hackers
also do not use links from anyone saying you won something or they are from imvu. —–> IMVUSTAFF have a official staff on there profile at the top were VIP,AP,AGE is. you should report these hackers and a easy way to do that is in chat u can report what they are saying or trying to link u imvu will paid attend to that :)
I’ve seen this warning a few times on Pulse and considered putting it on here, but I assumed that people were smart enough not to fall for this. However, since you did go through the trouble of typing all of this up, I’ll go ahead and post it anyway.
Never ever sign in to a website unless it has the handy little green lock to the left of the website. It looks like this:
This tells you that a website is legitimate and it is safe to give your personal information. If it has a red lock, it is NOT safe. (Although sometimes it will appear on websites that aren’t proven to be safe but are a-okay, so the red lock isn’t always a guaranteed tool.)
IF you accidentally came across this scam site, CHECK FOR THE GREEN LOCK. A scammer/hacker cannot program that into the site. Also, ALWAYS CHECK THE URL.
