“J.D.?” She knew him from school. What he was doing on the back roads of
Camp Caprice ( coincidentally her summer job ), God only knew. She was
actually surprised someone had managed to find the old, barren tails behind
the camp. “Takin’ a walk, huh…?” The only reason why Kat bothered coming
out to these trails was to SMOKE. She pulled a rolled joint from behind her
ear and offered it towards her acquaintance. “Want a toke??”
“Thanks but no thanks. I’ll, uh, just stick to good ol’ tobacco here.” Pulling out a carton of smokes, he took one out and lit it. How funny they should run into each other with their own choice of poison. “A walk? I guess you could say that. My foster dad wanted me to go to camp but it’s just not my style, ya know?” A small shrug of the shoulders as he blew out the smoke. “We’re both going to smell pretty funky when we get back.”
