I don’t think it belongs in the Willmack tag because the reality is that drafting a new topline winger makes it much much less likely Will is going to be in San Jose when we start contending. I know no one wants to admit it, just like they didn’t want to admit getting Stenberg meant Eky would be gone, but alas it’s the truth. This draft is great for the sharks but it’s bad for Will and by extension Willmack. I’d put a lot of money that Will ends next season off the top line & possibly PP1, with a corresponding dip in production. Writing is on the wall I fear.
