Scenario: Playing off of the temporary memory loss from recent comics; Blaze is determined to find ways to help bring Sonic back to his senses. This being the man she loves, she can’t fully handle seeing him like this. She decides the best way to get through to him is the way he got through to her when they first met. They start to spar, the sparing turns into a dance. The two feel something deep within as two yearning souls intertwine, and slowly he comes to, right at her side.

i did some more thinking and honestly i think the more likely theory is that Starline and sonic swapped minds, this one is actually kinda probably because sonics acting a lot like starline and they both were thrown into the warp topaz

I love how amnesiac Sonic is cocky again but imagine when he inevitably gets his memory back, he’s suddenly slammed with all the trauma he’s suffered and has to acknowledge it (that is, he would iF SEGA WASN’T SUCH COWARDS-)

I think if that does happen, it'll probably get him in a panicked state for a bit, I mean the guy came close to turning quite a few times, even being a split second away from actually fully becoming one in the last issue.

I don't know how long the amnesia will last for, it’ll be even worse if he doesn’t get it back once he gets back home and they need him to fight bad guys and he’s just standing there with his arms crossed like: “What was that? I don’t hear or see anything.”

B: Well, we did fight

S: Cool, lets tussle it out!

B: No!

B: We cant do that, we dont even have a reason to fight!

OK BUT LETS SAY IN THIS MADE UP SCENARIO 

Sonic wasnt having any mental or memory issues and he's merely pretending he doesnt know what blaze is talking about 

...when in truth he does 

he's chillin and sipping tea and trolling blaze and at the same time,,, trying,,,, to control the beating in his chest listening to blaze talking and praising about him in such a poetic way,,,,

like?? just imagine?? he's just behaving like that just cuz he wants to know what blaze thinks of him! and knowing blaze he feels sure he cant get this kind of info if he just plainly asks lmao

if eggman got amnesia and his new set of memories made him good, turning from a world conquer thirsty evil genius to a wholesome village tinker who helps fixes toys....

....what would that mean for sonic?

Lets look at this from a storytelling standpoint

The villain gets amnesia, their personality turns good. Fast forward, and now we have the protagonist getting amnesia....

why? for what reason must sonic have amnesia? what would that add to the story?

If IDW’s goal here is to create a paralel

there’s only one fitting answer to complete the pattern above
