sometimes, being a genderless enby brought an envy from others, especially the men who ventured so far into the desert to achieve the likes of gerudo town. ah, but they weren't the same, so easily encouraged by the women and others who inhabited the sandstone city of piety, strength, and power. by ways of their leader, a simple creature such as junkil could find meaning and home within their walls, and yet as nomadic as they lived, they often found themselves returning to a friend's home, leaning on her throne to sip drinks and rest upon satin pillows.

such beauty by golds, gemstones, even mosaic ornate decor, but junk found it far too busying for their focus. instead, practiced business was escorted to palace walls where they'd accompany chieftain in her daily routines, all while being a complete lap cat. their height, so small -- almost a head taller than their youth who ran rambunctious in the streets -- had them lounging across tan thighs and stretching out across urbosa's limbs like some chunk of feline companionship.

" comes plainly, as if the woman alone didn't already seem willing to push them clear from her visage at moment's notice, their testing of her waters sprawling out a wag of their tail that flicks along the side of her calf, catty behavior even letting a resemblance of a purr chitter free. so i told this to ray, hilary, and al! but here's how my LoZ AU! for junkil goes.

- high profile reporter who hears the steady heartbeats of calam ganon in their head like morse code, but with the defeat in botw, they have a fall from grace and turn to merchant life. homeless, sleeping in the construction piles in totk, junkil takes to simple selling like beedle, except at fluctuating prices that never stay the same, grasping at any chance at attention they can get. dresses like your typical 50's mullet and salesman type, desperately infatuated with the purah pad's sensor, has one of their own on a small device that used to be corrupted by calam gan's wavelengths. treats link the same way spamton treats kris, almost in a clinging sense of " we're not so different! " v much like a muppet from the depths in a way, but. eh, totk was v underwhelming in some aspects so i plan to run with my own story for junk in that sense.

FAME , oh to know it so well. for an ex-reporter, lost to the calamity and the voices in their head, junkil barely had spare room to breathe once calamity ganon's defeat brought about a silence. a fall far from grace, like a star dashed against the ruthless earth, their dry spell left them roaming for any sense of belonging once more. to be free, to untie these useless strings that ganon had 'round their neck, to hear hylia call for them.

it was probably bitter luck to stumble across the yiga and their clan's highest power, master kohga. an outing perhaps, or maybe sheer coincidence they meet post-mission for the members, but junkil found themselves clinging to any sense of possibly regaining their mark on hyrule. scrambling from the sands of the dunes, smaller creature scampers closer to yiga group that traverses their way back home, footsoldiers drawing their demon carvers out by the way fruitless salesman rushes towards them.

" well, w̵e̶l̸l̴ ! if it isn't my favorite ! kohga, how goes the whole shindig? " they pause, blink once or twice, as if the subtle beating of their own heart speaks morse code, before they're right as rain again. smile wide, wicked and curled, the merchant grips jacket's siding and reaches inward to whip out their latest elixir--- " get it while it's fresh ! mighty daiquiris on the go, for all your strength needs. "

pinched fingers rattle the bottle around, tempt the soldiers who's heads turn and follow like cats distracted by yarn. bananas! in their purified form of sweet, sweet liquor. junkil dangles the offer like catnip on a string for the distraction of clan members, those who stray from kohga's side for a better look of merchant's wares. typical ; untrained in resisting the ways of the banana. to their glee, of course, junkil thrives on the little sporadic glimpse of attention between product and peers.
