RIP to my future partner but I dont think I could ever love a person more than I love Milou

if you all wanted to know how big Milou is here you go!

Milou is ITTY BITTY (I mean not the smallest dog I know, but it is not common to find dogs smaller than him) (he was literally the size of a guinea pig when I got him)

He and I are preparing to move internationally in June! Hired a pet travel agent to help us with it

#havanese #puppy #Pro tip #I actually started the international moving process back in August #despite knowing that I'm moving in June #because i am super aware that A LOT of prep goes into these things #if you ever want to move internationally with your pet #the journey starts AT THE VERY LEAST six months prior #the vet was complimenting me on getting ahead of the game #and told me that I have no idea how many people come up to them #only one month before #and ask what they need to do #this also goes for travel too #and do your research #there are some places that your petto must be in quarantine for 10 days upon arrival #if your trip is less than that #your baby is basically getting ultra expensive dogsitting #that you could've just gotten back at home #without the stress hassle or money #also the pet travel agent replied to the photos/video of Milou's measurements #'What a well behaved boy!'#Milou is the best <3 #i love him

I received some questions about how Milou's parents looked like since he's such a rare color, so here you go

this is Milou's dad, I cannot for the life of me find a pic of his mama, but she looked exactly the same tbh

And here are Milou's brothers

Milou is top right in that first row. I'm not entirely sure what was the deal with the top left, but apparently he was very sick and didn't make it past I think 3 weeks, but everyone else was fine and healthy

this is actually why they delayed letting me go pick him, they had to make sure none of the other puppies had any health issues after that one did, but they were vet approved "perfect"

and here is the final photo set that the breeder sent me before I picked Milou up

They were all such sweet sweet boys, but Milou was the best one in my opinion (I could make another post on the decision making process if anyone is interested)

I have a photo somewhere of Milou next to his photogenic brother, which is hilarious cuz Milou looked so derpy as a baby and his brother is just next to him all majestic

but ye! real good genetic variation from the parents to get 5 babies of which none looked the same which is simultaneously hilarious because BOTH of the parents were sable

I've been describing him as like german shepard markings

BUT THERE'S A TERM \o/

Had a feeling he was rare, I'd never seen a havanese like him before and this is genuinely the first time I've seen a picture of one that isn't him

In honor of gotcha day, I'm going to tell you all a little story

Milou

LOVES bikes. Whenever we would walk when he was a puppy he'd get so excited when people would ride by, or whenever there was a bike stopped nearby he'd always have to go sniff sniff

one year, we pulled out our bikes from the garage and he LOST. HIS. MIND. he had no idea that we ALSO HAD BIKES AND THAT'S SO COOL OMG

he went nuts watching us go around and I had the idea toooo get him a little backpack to come with us

I was a little hesitant because he has a history of motion sickness but no issues with bikes apparently! He loves going on bike rides
