currently missing your writing sm 😭 thinking to reread a hard row because it's honestly my favorite dramione work. I've been curious about your username, is there a story behind it? only if you'd like to share ofc. tried to find you on Instagram but couldn't:( ,, greetings from Mexico 💕
I took a break from most socials for some family/real life stuff this spring but I’ll probably come back at some point.
Blessdtoaster (in all its versions) is the name my husband’s Xbox randomly generated for me, many years ago. And I thought it was very funny 😂
Thanks so much for reading and reaching out ❤️
I’ve just discovered A hard row to hoe and it’s honestly breathtaking - I’m not finished yet but it is so very well written and witty, thank you for writing and sharing.
Have you ever thought of trying to get it traditionally published? I think it’s a masterpiece, and while my asking is almost (purely) selfish in that I want it on my bookshelf forevermore, I feel like it would be a gift to the masses.
Obviously I don’t have any say in the matter, but wanted to extend my compliments to the chef 👌🏻 C’est Magnifique!
Hello! Thanks so much!
I’ve got to be honest, I am not terribly interested in re-working any of these into something that could be trad-published 🤷♀️ I’m usually of the “never say never” contingent but never feels right.
Some day I hope to read publish something, but I think the Dramione-esque things will stay on ao3.
I really appreciate your sentiment though, thank you.

Will you plz plz plz write an 8th year dramione fanfic someday?
With your marvelous writing style it would be soooooo fun and worth it
Have you ever given it any thought?
Ah thank you so much.
I haven’t thought about an 8th year a whole lot - but I think the hard row universe could use a Voldemort wins AU and an 8th year to really round it out- I just don’t know how I’d get there 😂
But maybe someday!
I just had to stop by (because, apparently, I’ve already gone to every social media platform to scream about how much I love this fic 🫣—I swear I'm not a stalker) to say, once again, how much I love and live this story. To the point that I’m seriously considering learning bookbinding just so I can have a physical copy 😭.
It’s one of my absolute favorites, and I genuinely don’t understand why more people aren’t talking about this masterpiece. Honestly, if you ever publish a book, can I start the fan club right now?
This fic found me at a really tough time in my life, and it helped me escape reality, even if just for a little while. I’ve already read it three times, and it’s officially my comfort fic.
I really hope you keep writing and sharing your amazing talent with us! 💜🌻
Ah wow. Thank you so much. I’m glad you found Hard Row when you did and I’m so happy it resonated with you/helped with distraction for a little while. And I hope things are going okay (or better yet, *well*), now.
What a wonderful thing to hear about something I wrote! Thank you for reaching out. And if I ever publish anything in a conventional sense, I’ll let you know ❤️
Thanks again for reading ❤️❤️❤️
Hello!!!!
I just wanted to say I absolutely devoured your fic, and i can't wait to do a re read of it soon. It was so good and kept my focus throughout the whole story!!!!
I also wanted to ask your policy on binding it for only personal use?? Is it ok?
Can't wait for your next amazing fic! 🥰
Thank you so much ❤️
Personal bindings are alright with me!
Thanks for reading!

Hi Blessdtoaster! I just finished AHRTH and absolutely loved it. I left a comment on Ao3 so I won’t reiterate all of my kudos here, but suffice to say, this is one of my all time favorites and I was beaming while reading it (except when I was cackling with laughter or crying). The humor, dialogue, suspense, and world building (with WI7 and evil Evangeline) were all wonderful to behold. Draco was a hoot and a BAMF. His banter (and texts!) with Healer Lethe was a highlight. My question is hopefully not a silly one, but did you ever explain the title’s origin? I enjoyed all your end-notes and insights into chapter titles, etc., but don’t recall seeing anything about the title. Just wondering if there’s any specific significance. Please, please keep writing. You are a masterful writer and storyteller. Thank you for sharing AHRTH with us.
Hello!
The saying itself I heard for the first time probably 10 or 15 years ago, but right before I was ready to post the first two chapters, I still didn’t have a title (which is quite unlike me). I was writing out some Healer Lethe dialogue in chapter three and she was talking about how something must’ve been difficult- and I had her say “well that’s a hard row to hoe indeed”… I stopped and thought - hmm… that would be pretty good.
I liked the rhyme and alliteration of it, and I thought it fit with Malfoy’s journey of redemption in particular.
So I changed what she said (I don’t love it when the title is hidden in the narrative haha) - searched the title to make sure another Dramione wasn’t named the same, and then went on my merry way!
The file on my computer is still named “gpb dm hg”, though, which (rather unromantically) stands for “Grosse Pointe Blank Draco Malfoy Hermione Granger”.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for reading Hard Row; it consumed a decent part of my 2024 and it feels really lovely to know that someone enjoyed it.
Next one (The Devil Works Hard) is currently being plotted ❤️
