17 Struggles All Suburban Black Kids Know Too Well by Pedro Fequiere
Meeting that one friend’s parent that you didn’t know was racist
Being the prime suspect of whatever was stolen at a house party
Your parents encouraging you to make friends with the only other black kids in the neighborhood even though you have your own friends
Not understanding all black culture references because you didn’t have as many black friends to experience them with
People coming back from spring break and comparing their tan to your skin
Searching far and wide for a salon that can do your hair
And people freely touching and grabbing your hair
Being called an Oreo, because… you’re not reeaally black
People assuming you’re good at any and all sports
Everyone looking to you to explain and demonstrate new dance crazes
People dialing their slang up a couple notches when talking to you
Swimming in a neighbor’s pool and having everyone marvel at how your hair reacts to water
People assuming that you have a huge crush on the only other black person in school
That moment when you learn about slavery in class and you can feel everyone staring at you
Being way more cautious than your friends about typical suburban mischief
People saying “You sound white,” because you speak proper English
Feeling constant pressure to represent your entire race, rather than just yourself
THIS IS LITERALLY MY LOVE
Even in France white people are like that
this is a war-cry from 60 years ago that is still being shouted today.
If this was my kid, he’d have to keep driving until he reached his new family.
Lmaooo
He is finished. my parents would drop me off in Nigeria the next day.
Mood I’m getting dropped off at the orphanage
LMAOOOOOOOO
I wanna see part 2 when he gets that ass whooped
The silence at the end just does it for me lol! He could not believe what he was seeing
I need a conclusion!!!!
Greatest cliff hanger of all time.
He’s dead.
When he gets back
Bruh I hope this is fake 💀💀💀
Lisa Simpson, a true icon. You can order a shirt here.
The producers 🙄
So another documentary that is just going to be watchable to some white people. Oh great.
I am so tired can we fuckin rest in peace without crackers coming along to turn our tragedies into a fucking money tree? Can we do that?
Im sick of this self serving shit our suffering is not for sale its not for free publicity either
this is so fucking worthless we know how she died. are they going to be donating all the money made off this movie to Bland’s families? or to BLM orgs? if not they can go ahead and keep this to themselves
You me and everyone else knowws that nobody u mentioned is gonna see a DIME from this shit all the money made from this is gonna go right back into their pockets and the god awful pockets of the studio behind them.
White people need to stop. Our traumas aren’t for your consumption. Nobody asked. Shut the fuck up.

STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters… S.T..R … My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. STROKE IDENTIFICATION: During a party, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. (they offered to call ambulance) They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the party . Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don’t die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this… STROKE IDENTIFICATION: A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough. RECOGNIZING A STROKE Remember the ‘3’ steps, STR . Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions : S * Ask the individual to SMILE .. T * = TALK. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (eg ‘It is sunny out today’). R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS . If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call the ambulance and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. NOTE : Another ‘sign’ of a stroke is 1. Ask the person to ‘stick’ out their tongue. 2. If the tongue is ‘crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. A prominent cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved. And it could be your own.
First reblog post that actually saves a life.
This is a life-saving post.
the more you know
yeah don’t think that this can’t happen to you or someone you know if they’re young. my cousin’s wife is 33 and she had a stroke last year
I’ve had a stroke. It happens to people, and the more you know about this kind of stuff, the better.Because it could be important to know.
LIVE SAVING. WOOOAHH. REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG
Had a family member almost die of one, so signal boosting because you never know when you could save a life.
Because I feel bad if I don’t reblog…
My mother died after being paralyzed by a stroke. Please read this^
I remember a while ago here in UK there were stroke-identifying adverts. Their catchphrase was FAST:
F- Face: is their face fallen on one side?
A- Arms: can they raise both their arms up and hold them there?
S- Speech: is their speech slurred? Can they speak a full sentence?
T- Time: if all the signs show a stroke, call 999.
We managed to save my nana with this information when she had her first stroke.
SAVE A LIFE.
