The OSD Nathan had given Natasha during their meeting in Zakera Ward contained a wealth of knowledge. It had taken hours to comb through everything, and that was without stopping to truly process all of it.
First were the detailed dossiers that Cerberus had provided to Nathan when he'd begun working with them. Weeks ago. The individuals he was expected to recruit to their cause were not the type of help the organization typically sought out. They were all highly skilled, and perfect for the job, yes. But most of them were Aliens. And Cerberus didn't work with Aliens. They worked against them.
As it was, Nathan hadn't yet had the time to even approach half of the experts listed. He'd marked in the files which of them he'd recruited already, and where he planned to go next.
Kaidan had noted the shift in Natasha's demeanor when she'd read the file on Archangel. She'd tried her best to help her Turian friend when he'd returned to the Citadel , but he'd disappeared after he and his father had disagreed on the management of several cases.
Next was an abbreviated section, with wide swaths of the information redacted, explaining the science behind his resurrection. Natasha had needed Kaidan to explain a majority of the medical terminology to her, given that his own training on the subject had been much more thorough than hers.
There was just enough information provided to prove that Nathan was as he claimed; himself.
It was a stunning revelation. The implications of which he couldn't even begin to consider. No Human had ever been brought back from the dead before. Especially after two years.
But the timeline of Operative Lawson's notes fit, and somehow that solidified it.
The final files contained on the OSD were perhaps the most astounding of all. Copies of blueprints and a timeline of construction of the massive new warship which Cerberus had provided Nathan for his use during the mission.
The layout was familiar, and he'd instantly known why. They had somehow managed to steal the original design specs for the Normandy SR-1 from the Alliance. Though they had clearly made changes to suit their own needs. Construction had begun almost immediately following the attack over Alchera.
There was so much about this mission that felt… off. And Kaidan couldn't shake that feeling no matter how hard he tried.

Today is the last day of the semester! My classes are done! I have about 3 weeks until Summer semester starts, so hopefully I can get some writing done during that time!! I'm so glad to be done with classes for the next few weeks 🥰
Finished the Beta and it was pretty good! The combat is very Mass Effect, though honestly a bit more challenging! The graphics aren't amazing, but it's the Beta so I wasn't expecting the best anyway. Overall, I think it's going to be a great game once it's finished!! Great job, Owlcat!!
I've been wanting to draw Kala and Passion together in a way that accurately depicts how I see Passion. They never appear like Spite does if they manifest at all but when they do, it's like this. At first, they started like a wisp but overtime, they would develop a more intricate appearance akin to a simplified nervous system encased in a red transparent body.
You can read more a bit more about Kala and Passion's backstory here.
Viviana De Riva's life changed drastically when Venatori agents attacked the ship she was on. They stole away with the Demon of Vyrantium and left her for dead. A year later, the First Talon of the Crows hands her the means for her revenge.
Here it finally is, folks!! The art I've commissioned that will accompany this fic from now on. Done by the incredible @nilusart 💜
I've finished rewriting & editing two more of my original Fictober & Flufftober 2021 prompts! Here they are, and they go so well together as one flows right into the other!
