That ‘comment on your a03 work’ email hits like a line of cocaine every time. unmatched dopamine increase. shoutout to everyone who leaves a comment on fics. you deserve the world
First attack done!!
For m3l_coool on Artfight ^^
My attack:
Original (m3l_coool):
My first ArtFight character!!
Pera, the Strawberry Knight
Pera is a paladin of Lathander, the god of hope, beginnings, and the dawn. He mostly travels by himself and stops to help anyone he meets, no matter their situation. While he may look tough on the outside, he's got a heart of gold and is loyal to a fault.
He got the title "Strawberry Knight" for his red hair and sweet disposition.
(Fun fact: he usually forgoes wearing a helmet because he thinks it makes him look too scary and unapproachable.)
Guess who— oh wait, it’s the same character I always draw….
I was in desperate need of a half-cloak, and who else can pull it off better than Lucanis?
It may be 2:30AM, but I finished him and he’s glorious ^^
Rendering update ^^

141 is a prestigious, Michelin restaurant with accolades the world over.
John is quickly going broke taking care of his nephew and needs a job. He has no experience in the hospitality industry and finds fine dining to be a ludicrous display of overindulgence, but a job is a job. Besides which, the chef at 141 is something of an urban legend, and John is endlessly curious.

My gift to Goblin for finishing the most delightful story: “First, Eat”
I was pointed in the direction of this fic a few months ago and simply couldn’t put it down. What a beautiful and satisfying close to a genuinely delightful AU. A fandom classic, for sure.
Random shenanigans that ensue when two nerds talk…
I sent my friend these memes:
And he responded with “hmm… I can lift one hundred sixty-six pounds. How many swords is that?”
(Oddly specific number btw 🤔)
Anyway— maths ensue on my end:
The average medieval short sword is two pounds.
The average medieval greatsword is six pounds.
So… my friend can carry about…
eighty-three short swords
or
twenty-seven and a half greatswords.
BUT…
I wasn’t including the weight of sword belts, because who wants to carry all of those naked blades with their bare hands.
The average sword belt (no frogs or large fastenings, and average leather thickness) is a little less than one pound. I’m just gonna round up to one because I’m lazy.
Assuming we’re being inefficient with our sword belt storage optimization, and saying one belt per sword, that’s about…
fifty-five and a third short swords
or
twenty-three and two thirds greatswords.
Now with scabbards — because let’s be honest, this is the modern age and SOMEONE’s going to enforce safety protocols.
Short sword scabbards are about one pound.
Greatsword scabbards are about two and a quarter pounds.
SO. If all the swords have scabbards, and each sword has a sword belt, how many swords can my friend carry?
Forty-one and a half short swords
or
about eighteen greatswords.
…
I wish these were my word problems in middle school maths.
MORE LUCANIS!!!!!!!!!!!
Tender and well-rested (hopefully).
Possibly my best Lucanis yet…? 👀✨
Started an art course and used one of my D&D NPCs for practice drawing the same person consistently + designing characters! ^^
Been feeling yucky about my art lately, so I’ve been working on a graphic-novel style piece of Rulfio from Dishonored. Here’s the lineart layer.
In my head, Rulfio always tells Daud to stop smoking, but indulges himself all the time.
Rulfio: “Well it’s okay if I do it.”
Daud: “…”
Thomas: “… hypocrite.”
Rulfio: “Nuh-uh.”
Thomas: “TF you mean ‘nuh-uh’?!”
Another lovely day of daydreaming about Dragon Age…
This mug was gifted to me for Christmas. BlackCatUnicorns on Etsy if you’re interested in getting one yourself, or any of the other DA merch in their store.
Lucanis is a pretty fun subversion of what people expected him to be (an edgy assassin that lives up to the name of DEMON of Vyrantium, or the Mage-Killer). It's so interesting how helpful and caring he can be, despite taking lives for a living. Lucanis (as @dandyboyandy pointed out to me) treats assassination like it's just another office job.
This allows for him to be a sweetheart without falling into the trope of "asshole who only likes you and hates everyone else". On the contrary: he has friends everywhere - in The Wigmaker Job, Illario even mentions it in passing. Let this be a reminder that you should read Tevinter Nights!
There's so much I want to talk about I don't know where to start.
This is such a beautiful post what the heck 😭 I love Lucanis
My third crow study. Traditional fountain pen and ink on Bristol.
Update: this guy got sold!!!! ✨😫✨
Some FF7 doodles and sketches to get used to my new art setup.
Just got an XPPen Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) and installed Clip Studio Paint. Feels so nice to draw on. ^^
