"Kill Paarthurnax" is the name of the quest Delphine and Esburn give the Player when they find out Paarthy's a dragon. Because they're stupid.
Anyway, in my little fic/snippet, my 4 Dragonborn OCs* have just been given the "Kill your Granpa Dragon or we'll hate u 5ever!!!! 🤬🚫💔" ultimatum by Delphine, and my world-hopping OC Morwenna is also there to just give some... extra info 👀
*Four DB OCs are Nosaga, Pra' Anaska, Deek-Vakka, and Psytar
(Please excuse the very scrappy formatting, this is a rough draft of a rough draft)
(Delphine thinks Morwenna's gonna argue against her and talk them out of it. She knows Morwenna has the whole "all life is sacred" attitude, which she thinks is foolish.)
Morwenna: Delphine, I understand your point of view. It's only reasonable for them to know the all facts before they make a decision, whether they do it alone or together. And I want you to hear what I have to say too.
Delphine: >:| (grumpy)
Morwenna: (continuing) If you four decide to fight, Paarthurnax will not be alone. Doubtless many dragons will come to his aide, and so will I.
Delphine: What?!
Morwenna: You and I have known each other a long time. But I have known Paarthurnax even longer. I will defend my friend no matter your prejudices against him.
Delphine: Prejudices?! He is a war criminal! He deserves death!
Morwenna: And he has spent lifetimes atoning for those crimes. Death is not justice. It is only revenge.
Morwenna: (to the DBs) You face a decision. Delphine has given you the Blades' position, now I offer you mine: the four of you are strong, especially when you work together. But I am stonger. Fight me, and you'll lose. I won't kill you, but I can't promise you won't be permanently injured.
(Morwenna smiles and leaves. Delphine glares at everyone and leaves too, but out a different door bc fuck Morwenna. Esbern leaves with her - he isn't mad, he's just disappointed.)
Pra' Anaska: "I can't promise you won't be permanently injured." Bah. What obnoxious preening.
Deek-Vakka: Hm. (says nothing, not sure if Pra' is right but also wanting to fill the awkward silence)
(Nosaga and Psytar catch each other's eye. Nosaga looks back at doorways, Psytar at Pra')
Psytar: Are you saying we should go through with Delphine's plan?
Pra': (hisses) Of course not! The Blade's head is full of hot smoke that clouds her vision. To kill Paarthurnax would be a foolish errand.
Deek: (relieved) I think whatever we do, we should all agree on it
Nosaga: (frowns) What? No of course not. Why would we even do that?
Psytar: Ahh honey, are you with us? We just had that whole speech from Delphine?
Nosaga: ...no, right. Yes, Delphine. Her request is absurd.
Pra': You weren't actually considering it, were you?
Nosaga: (offended) Don't be stupid.
Deek: (now concerned, not about Nosaga secretly wanting to kill Paarthurnax, but about whatever's got her spacing. Is Nosaga picking up on something?) What? What is it?
Nosaga: (says nothing, looks at doorway Morwenna exited through)
Nosaga: ...nothing
Bonus info! Nosaga is the only one of the group who has worked one-on-one with Morwenna. To the others, Morwenna is kinda a joke. Sure, Paarthurnax trusts her, but she's also just... weird. Spacey. Says things that don't make sense and then laughs at herself. But Nosaga has a feeling that the strange woman is being serious this time. 👀👀👀

So instead of c&v that same thing over and over, I just put the tail end of the names (I warned you melodiouswanderer, you opened a can of worms 🪱)
