Venetian Deer (Classic Mac, Die Veteranen, 1997)
Another German example (in both German and English) of the 1990's multimedia CD-ROM kick. You can download it as Venetian-Deer-iso.zip here or here, and run it on modern systems by following the instructions beneath the images.
Open this in-browser emulator.
Extract the .iso file from the .zip file and drag it onto the emulated desktop.
Open the icon that appears and run the game.
Tips: This game has a fast travel system. Type the number 000 to visit the phone, which includes a list of useful numbers to travel to the main hubs and important features. Other locations will be listed as you find them. Or you can use the numbers listed at the second link above as a cheat sheet. All numbers can be typed at any time.
Included in the zip are MP3-format songs, originally included on the CD and playable in CD players. Track 6 is decidedly Earthbound-y.
