The thing is THE THING IS!! Boromir is agnostic by holy design. In order for the grand tale to unfold as it was always ordained too, in order for it to all happen as it was 'meant' to happen, Boromir had to put no stock in The Powers of the West. He had to not care for the blessing of a King or the righteousness of his soul or the 'high beauty' that is untouchable by the darkness of middle-earth. Otherwise he would have trusted to godly portents over his own sense and logic and allowed Faramir to claim the journey. Otherwise he would have trusted aragorn and Galadriel's word implicitely. Otherwise the Ring would have held no sway over him, being loyal as his brother is to divine righteousness over the material lives of his people. Most importantly, Frodo would never have recieved such a dire example of the Ring's influence upon men with otherwise noble hearts. He would not have had this vital information to calibrate himself to the reality that his own claiming of the Ring was inevitable and needed to be planned for, to know what roll Gollum had to play in all of this. I feel absolutely insane about it.
Like literally, Boromir was born to reject god by godly design!! and this most complete of divine betrayals is made up for by allowing Boromir a beautiful and righteous death, even if he could never be allowed to live a beautiful righteous life in the eyes of the faithful and!! the world!! This is what Gandalf means when he says 'But [Boromir] escaped in the end. I am glad. It was not in vain that the young hobbits came with us, if only for Boromir’s sake' he 'escaped' damnation by futilely dying for the hobbits, it was 'not in vain' that Merry and Pippin were there so he could die for their sake, so that in the end when Faramir half-dreams his brother's body washing down the anduin he 'looks more beautiful than he even did in life'. Because in LIFE he was never and COULD NEVER be faithful! HE IS LITERaLLY BORN TO BE THE SaCRIFICIaL BULL!! and do you know how Eru ensured Boromir would never 'have faith'? By giving him a deeply faithful mother and father and then doing divine psycho torture on them, killing one and making the other live in grey hopeless asceticism until it finally broke his brain with grief!! .. and aLSO by making Boromir a fucking faggot!!!
The existence of a safeword also implies the existence of a dangerword that you can use to instantly turn any sexual event into a combat encounter
in the US we only have 3 genders. american beauty, american psycho, and american pie
What about American idiot
well we all know which gender i am for forgetting this one

"Pumpkins at the SFMOMA"
(because @blindalchemistblog saw it and said it was tumblrfood, or something)
In the end, it was the pumpkins that did it. They were yellow and brilliant, and nothing in them was for me. "they embody a base for the joy of living," the artist wrote, "a living shared by all of humankind on the earth." He said : "I don't think I've ever felt that intensely about anything in my life." What I thought, was : "how sad!" What I said, was : "Oh? I don't feel that way about pumpkins, But I do feel like that about other things." He said, (incredulously) : "Have you read the whole poem? It's so passionate." I understood : "He will never feel this way about me."

ok note to self i gotta leave the house regularly so that i dont feel like im slowly transforming into an evil fucking shadow clone of myself
So as it turns out your sense of self doesnt exist in a vacuum. You gotta actually use it and bounce it off of other people like echolocation to see where you are as a person and shit. So if you dont regularly interact with other people the echoes just get weaker and weaker and before you know it your personality is a blurry fucked up fog clone of its former self. which it sucks because this makes it really hard to interact with people again but yknow
I think once symbolism becomes dense and philosophically rigorous enough it can become not just Esoterica but the Occult. This happened to James Joyce.
"The Joyce Point"
Have you ever prayed to the you that you dream to become?
You don't have to force yourself to bounce back so quickly. I read something recently that said "when you come in from a rainstorm, you don't expect yourself to be dry and warm right away", and it really resonated with me. It's okay to take time to dry off and warm up. Take the time you need to process what happened to you.
the cure to self-sabotage is to anchor yourself to the universal truth that you are worth it. you are worth the effort. you are worth the difficulty, you are worth the time, you are worth the consideration. there is never a point in your life, in time itself, that you are not worth it. return to this truth when you feel yourself slipping. do not let it go.
