#27 gaming and couples [heejun - fluff]

Where Heejun believes that revenge is a dish best served cold. And shivering. And wet. 

“Oh, fuck off.” Heejun sneers. He stands up in a fit of rage and paces around the coffee table before storming off into the kitchen. You laugh elatedly then get off your bean bag to follow your fiance. 

“Babe it’s not my fault that you suck at Just Dance despite the fact you’re the main dancer.” Heejun scowls at your remark and quickly retorts,

“It’s rigged! I swear it is.” You roll your eyes and head towards the bathroom; eager to get out of your sweaty clothes and shower. Before you close the door you call out to him,

“Don’t forget you have to make dinner. It’s your punishment!”

“Yeah yeah, whatever you say.” He replies condescendingly. He is such a sore loser you think to yourself. You place your clean clothes on top of the chest of drawers, quickly strip down and head into the shower. You hear the door open and you ask,

“Heejun is that you?”

“Yeah. I just needed to grab a hand towel.” The door closes with a soft click. You don’t bother to wash your hair and soon you’re out of the shower with a towel wrapped around your torso.

The cold air gives you goosebumps and you feel your heart skip a beat when you can’t find your clean clothes. You shout angrily,

“OH HEEJUN. YOU LITTLE SHIT.” You hear a familiar guffaw and you quickly storm out of the bathroom, your hand gripping your towel tightly. Your clothes were strewn all over the living room. 

“Heejun we’re engaged for fuck’s sake. You’ve seen me naked plenty of times.”

“Doesn’t make pranking you any less funny!” You give a groan and storm into the master bedroom to put on your spare pyjamas. 

It was then that you vowed to yourself that you would get revenge.

28 with inseong

#28 strawberries and bubbles [inseong - fluff]

Where Inseong is a forgetful boyfriend and you have no conception of the term: ‘grudge’.

“You’re still mad?” Inseong asks with a whimper. With a flick of your hair, you turn away from him and continue scrolling through your phone. You feel a weight on your shoulder and you resist the urge to inhale the familiar scent of strawberry.

“Y/N please stop ignoring me. I forgot that it was yesterday. I swear.” Rolling your eyes you exit out of Instagram and go onto Tumblr and begin exploring the food tag. Inseong’s lithe hands snake around your waist as he pulls you against his chest.

You hear the steady beat of his heart and unknowingly melt into the embrace. Inseong peppers light kisses along the length of your neck. You angle your neck to give him more access and give an unconscious sigh.

You snap out of your daze and coldly say, “I still don’t forgive you for forgetting our anniversary.” You quickly direct your gaze back at your phone and ignore the acidic taste in your mouth.

You feel your boyfriend’s hot breath against the back of your ear and fail to suppress a shudder. Inseong then whispers, his husky voice sending a shiver down your spine,

“Baby, please give me another chance. I’ll make it up to you. I promise.” Not one to hold grudges you eventually concede with a grunt and reply,

“Fine,” Inseong gives a whoop. “-but you only have one more chance. And you have to do all the chores for a week.” Inseong’s jaw falls in disbelief but he quickly gathers himself and says with a grin,

“Thank you so much baby. I love you so so so much.” Happy to be on good terms with your boyfriend again you let a smile split your face. Although where was the fun in being lenient? You had to make Inseong work for your complete forgiveness.

With a quick wave of your hand, you curtly say, “What are you still doing here honey? Don’t you need to go wash that huge pile of dishes over there? I think the floors need a bit of mopping and- of course! Hang the laundry on the line as well.”

You briefly laugh at your boyfriend’s expression as he grumpily stomps off to go do the dishes. You call out to him,

“I love you! You know that right?”

“Psh, how could you not love me? Everybody loves me.”

You narrow your eyes at his arrogance and playfully respond, “How stupid of me to forget that you also need to clean the toilet!” Inseong then walks over, his hands covered in bubbles from the dish soap, and pinches your cheeks. 

Soon an all out bubble war ensues and any memory of chores is quickly forgotten.

Ahhhh! I kind of got a bit carried away hehe. I didn’t want to end it on an iffy note so I was just like, you know what, screw it. Let’s have a bubble fight. Hope you enjoyed it anon! -Mei xx

Uhm I’m just playing around with formatting so I think I might start switching it up? Would guys rather I write the drabble when I answer your ask or I make a separate post, answer the ask and give a link? 

The latter looks a lot nicer but it makes my blog very cluttered. The former is a lot easier for me but it doesn't look as nice. I’m pretty torn ahhh. :/

#59 amateurs and geniuses [youjin - fluff]

title: amateurs and geniuses prompt: #59 “How do I even put up with you?” pairing: implied youjin x heejun genre: fluff challenge: drabble challenge 1-150 (master list, info) word count: ~390

Where Youjin is an academic genius and hopelessly in love with a freshman. 

“Youjin I need to borrow your Math notes. Please.” Youjin swivels on his chair with narrowed eyes and a binder in hand. Or as you nicknamed it, the Holy Binder. People at your school would pay good money to even have a glimpse at the number 1 student’s notes.

“How do I even put up with you?” He replies with pursed lips and a raised eyebrow. You flash a grin at him and snatch the binder out of his hand then quickly flip through the pages. Satisfied with the content you put the binder aside and clasp your hands.

As the 70th student in the grade (out of 70 students) having Youjin as a roommate was unbelievably lucky. Yet somehow no matter how hard you studied your grades never improved. So, you and Youjin had struck up a deal: he would share his notes with you and you would give him romance advice.

Considering that you were voted the most dateable in your grade, you liked to think that your dating advice was quite precious.

“So here’s the thing,” he starts, “there’s this really cute boy. Freshmen actually.” Youjin was usually a very good talker but he had this quality about him that made him instinctively stop talking when someone was; in order to give them a chance. You motion for him to continue and he does.

“He seems really popular, though,” Youjin murmurs with a frown, “and also extremely close with this sophomore called Jeong Inseong.” You immediately become alerted and interrupt saying,

“Let me guess: Oh Heejun. I’m right aren’t I?” Youjin looks away shyly, a pink tint spreading across his cheeks.

“The good news is I know for a fact he’s single and into guys.” Youjin perks up at the news and then asks with a slight tilt to his head, “And what’s the bad news?”

You give a smirk and answer, “If I give you his number you have to agree to a double date.” Youjin gapes at your conditions and is no doubt a bit flustered by your straight forward approach.

After a while he croaks out, “Fine…” You squeal with glee and make a note in your planner to organise the double date. With renewed energy, you begin to study Youjin’s maths notes and admire the doodled hearts with the initials KY x OH written inside them.

5. mutated butterflies [seungjun - fluff]

“What would I do without you?” “Mmm, you’d probably be at an all-you-can-eat buffet. I can guess that much.”

“Guys I brought pizz- wait, where is everyone?” Heejun looks at you briefly before returning his gaze to the TV. You give an irritated sigh, stroll to the dining table and place the pizza boxes on top of the table before joining Heejun on the sofa. You let out a breath and slouch against the cushions of the couch before you roll your head to the side and eye Heejun curiously.

You prop your elbow into the cushion and rest your head on your palm whilst gnawing at your lip. Heejun stares at the children’s cartoon so intensely it was almost comical. It was clear he was hiding something from you, from the way his shoulders tensed to the way his large eyes never seemed to stray from the screen. Finally you manage to say,

“Something’s bothering you.” Heejun snaps out of his entranced state and whips his head around to look at you. His eyes are wide as his thin lips curve to form an ‘o’ shape. Heejun cries out, “Y-youjin told me not to tell you because he didn’t want you to worry-” Heejun slaps a hand over his mouth clearly anxious over the fact that he had revealed information that you weren’t supposed to know.

With a raised eyebrow you prod Heejun and quickly ask, “What did Youjin not want me to know? Huh? Heejun?” Heejun automatically shies away from your glare. You place a hand on Heejun’s large shoulder and twist his body so he faces you and before you can even question him he rips your hand off and exclaims,

“Seungjun’s been having his panic attacks again, there I said it!” Your whole body goes numb as a feeling of ice runs through your veins, freezing everything that it comes across. Clearly sensing your distress he reluctantly mutters, “He’s in his room with Jihun.”

You jump off the couch and storm to Seungjun’s room. You open the door to find the room in a state of complete and utter destruction. His clothes were strewn all over the floor and the book shelf that held all of his memorabilia and clutter was unorganised and tossed into the bin. The Christmas tree that you and Jihun both adored was cracked and shoved into the corner of the room.

Seungjun and Jihun were lying on their backs on the bed, side by side with their shoulders touching. The soft snoring of Jihun cut through the deafening silence. You lean against the door frame and disheartedly whisper, “Seungjunnie…”

Seungjun turns and notices you, his full of disbelief. He gets off the bed to quickly stride towards you and engulf you in a bone crushing hug. “I’m sorry, I’m so s-sorry.” He murmurs, his round eyes rimmed red and his eyelashes wet. His plump lips press against your neck in a soft kiss as you dig your head into his broad shoulder.

“When Heejun told me that it happened again- you don’t know how scared I was.” Seungjun puts his hands onto your shoulders and forces you to take a step back and look into his eyes.

“I’m not going anywhere don’t worry baby.” He runs a finger down the side of your face, barely touching your skin, the sensation similar to a ghost’s breath. The corners of his mouth angle upwards, the smile seeming out of place on his flushed face stained with tears.

He then cradles your face with two hands and kisses the crown of your head. A small murmur comes from Seungjun’s room and the pair of you look to find Jihun waking up from his sleep. Jihun scratches his head and gives a yawn before spying the two of you at the door. Jihun’s eyes widen as he tries to register the situation, “Y/N! I didn’t know you were coming…”

Jihun gives a quick glare to Seungjun before resting his eyes on you again. You give a  melancholy smirk and say, “It’s okay Jihun I already know.” Jihun says a soft ‘ah’ before stating,

“Well that explains the tears I guess.” You and Seungjun burst out laughing and Jihun takes that as his cue to leave the room and follow the scent of hot pizza. You and Seungjun walk over to the now free bed (careful not to trip on the misplaced clothes) and lie down together, his arm wrapped around your waist and your head resting on his chest.

You time your breathing with his and soon enough the two of you begin talking about nothing and everything. After an intense battle on who could do the best digimon impression the two of you lie in silence. Soon enough Seungjun’s deep voice cuts through the silence saying,

“What if we don’t do well? What if the Tinkerbells hate the song?” You twist your head into an awkward position so you can gaze into Seungjun’s nervous eyes. Your eyebrows furrow and you instantly reply,

“That’s not going to happen. The Tinkerbells love you and would support you no matter what. The boys love you. I love you. Trust me, everything’s going to be fine.” Seungjun’s mouth splits to form a grin that stretches from ear to ear and you can’t help yourself but to smile alongside him.

Seungjun then happily replies, “What would I do without you Y/N?”

“Mmm you’d probably be at an all-you-can-eat buffet. I can guess that much.”

4. entitled love [youjin - fluff]

title: entitled love pairing: reader x youjin genre: fluff word count: ~850 notes: i was so tired when i wrote this ;.; i accidentally wrote ‘soldier’ instead of ‘shoulder’. it’s times like this i wish i actually drank coffee. song: nu’est - overcome

“Y/N you came!” Jihun exclaims as you run into his arms and squeeze him tightly. Jihun was your closest friend in KNK (besides your boyfriend Youjin of course) and he was always the person you went to when you didn’t want to burden Youjin with your small troubles.

You quickly let go of him and he playfully rubs his ribs as if you had bruised them in your hug. You quickly place your hands on top of your heart and make an overly dramatic serious face saying, “You wound me Jihunnie.”

Jihun rolls his eyes and the two of you exit the hallway outside of KNK’s dorm and enter the dorm. Immediately you are met with raucous laughter and the crashing of the members as they speed around the room like children.

“Yah Oh Heejun I am not in love with Xia Junsu!” You hear Inseong shout and then a loud squeal erupt from no doubt Heejun. Most likely he was either being tackled to the ground or running away from Inseong. You hear the flush of a toilet and from the corner of your eye you see a tall figure emerge from the bathroom. You immediately recognise it as Seungjun and soon you’re curious as to where the last member of their circus act is.

“Y/N, I missed you.” You whirl around and a grin stretches across your mouth as you wrap your arms around Youjin. You burrow your head into his broad chest and quickly inhale the vanilla scent you had long ago associated with Youjin. Minutes pass and soon you separate from the tight embrace. Your lips quickly thin and your eyes become wide as they see the sight before you. Worried, you say,

“You lost weight.” Youjin’s lips quirk and he retorts,

“You got prettier.”

“You seem really tired.”

“Your face is glowing.” Your heart grows in response to Youjin’s compliments but you quickly bat them away and mutter, “Please don’t work so hard, it’s scary seeing you like this.” Youjin grabs your hands and brings them to his face, your fingers brushing along his high cheek bones and your palms cupping his sharp jaw.

“Don’t worry about me Y/N, I’m fine. The company is giving us a holiday for winning a triple crown so I’ll be able to rest after our promotions.” His words do nothing to comfort you and he realises this as he stares into your eyes, your distress flashing through them. Immediately he brings his head down and rests his forehead against yours.

Your hands leave his face and go to hook around his neck. You stand on your tippy-toes and gently press your lips against his. His eyelashes flutter and soon you both close your eyes your instincts taking over. His hands slip down to your waist and grips it tight bringing you closer to him. You slant your mouth against his and delve deeper into the kiss, your hands threaded through the hair located at the nape of his neck.

“Oi lovebirds cut it out. We have an underage person here.”

“I’m not underage!”

“Aish Heejun you’re too loud.” Jihun complains with a loud sigh. Heejun then clings to him tightly and shakes him from side to side, “Sorry~ do you forgive me? I said I’m sorry~”

You and Youjin break apart a blush creeping up your cheeks. He holds your hand tightly and brings you close to his side.

“But don’t you find it annoying that Youjin only gives attention to Y/N.” Seungjun pipes up his hands on his hips and his eyebrows knit together. He walks over to stand next to Heejun who was still holding onto Jihun’s waist.

“Yeah. Youjin, why don’t you ever hold my hand?” Inseong asks his eyes flicking down to you and Youjin’s intertwined hands. Jihun shakes his head his bangs falling in front of his eyebrows.

“That’s because you try to kiss me every time I get near you.” Youjin replies with his eyes narrowed. Inseong instantly responds saying,

“But that’s because we’re close!” Jihun quickly shushes everyone with a loud voice demanding, “Okay that’s it. All of you get into the living room, I got some chicken and black bean noodles and there’s drinks in the fridge.

“Oh Heejun if you do not let go of me I swear that on the next v-app I will tell the story of when you went up to-” Before Jihun can even finish his sentence Heejun lets go and sprints to the living room clearly understanding Jihun’s threat. Jihun follows the direction that Heejun took off in but not before giving you a nod and a knowing smirk.

With a small sigh you rest your head on Youjin’s shoulder and suggest, “I don’t know about you but I’m pretty hungry and chicken and beer sounds really good right about now.” Youjin gives a short, sharp laugh and says, “Sounds good to me.”

The pair of you enter the living room, hand in hand, and sit down around the table; the previous quarrel now forgotten in favour of greasy food, alcohol and hilariously drunk attempts at karaoke.

3. road ahead [inseong - fluff]

“Inseong I swear to God if you change the song one more time you will wake up with no eyebrows tomorrow, I can promise you that.” Stunned at your threat he retracts his hand from the skip button and places it back on the steering wheel. Content with his response you lean back into the uncomfortable passenger seat and let one of the songs from the soundtrack of one of your favourite drama echo in the dingy car.

Then suddenly the car comes to a stop. A slow, sputtering stop as if it had run out of fuel, but no that couldn’t be case. You had filled up at the last rest stop 2 hours ago so what was the problem? You look to your boyfriend Inseong but he seemed to be just as confused as you were.

“What happened?” You ask him curiously. Inseong takes the key out of the ignition and opens the car door, a blast of cold air swarming the car. Eager to join him you grab your scarf and beanie from your lap and step outside while adjusting the clothing. You walk around the car to meet Inseong and you feel your heart drop.

“You have to be kidding me…” You mutter running a hand through your thick hair. The taller stands up from his crouched position and turns towards you responding, “Okay, well I’m going to call the insurance company and see what they can do. Don’t worry about it too much babe.” Taking his phone out, he strides over towards you and comes behind you, resting his head on top of yours.

You feel his Adam’s apple against the back of your head, one arm wrapping around your waist and hear his soft voice talking into the phone. How can tyres go flat? Did that even happen in real life? I mean if GTA taught you anything it was that a flat tyre was insignificant but this wasn’t some video game it was reality.

So here you were, stranded out in the middle of nowhere with the sun already set and the temperature dropping unbelievably fast that it causes you to consistently rub your hands together. Inseong separates from you to mindlessly walk around the area whilst talking on the phone. You immediately miss the warmth his body radiated and opt to lean on the car with your arms folded.

Minutes pass and soon the moon is cast high in the sky and your breath comes out in cloudy puffs. Inseong huffs and finally takes the phone away from his face. He makes his way towards you and brings his arms over your shoulders, his head tucks into the crook of your neck his soft hair gently brushing against your jaw.

His warm breath fans against your collarbone and you can’t help but lean back into the embrace. “I have some good news and some bad news,” the taller mumbles, “the bad news is that the insurance company can’t come until the morning. The good news is that we get to spend a night together under the stars.”

“Freezing. Isolated. Hungry.” You add, your pessimism evident as your eyes narrow at Inseong’s attempt at identifying a silver lining. Inseong ignores your comments and brings you closer to his broad chest and digs his head deeper into your collarbone. Nudging you with his nose he murmurs, “Come on let’s go to the car, I’ll turn the heating on and I promise I’ll let you play your ‘music’, okay?”

You smile and softly shake your head as you both get inside the car, blast the heating and turn up the volume. You close your eyes and rewind through the numerous memories you and your boyfriend had created over the past couple weeks on your road trip. You wondered if there was a possibility that you could be stranded here forever but hey, if you had your music with you all was well.

Too bad Inseong couldn’t keep his promise for more than 15 minutes.
