WHEN ARE THE REWATCH PARTIES?
The Rewatch Parties are every other Saturday, at two different times, so that as many people as possible can participate directly! The schedule for the current round of Rewatch Parties is:
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Here on Tumblr, we will be using the tag "Blinky's Rewatch Party." You can use the tag to liveblog your rewatch, or wait until the story is over to post any and all thoughts at once. If you can't make either of the chosen times, that's okay! The tag's not going anywhere; simply watch and post your thoughts whenever you can. And remember to check out the tag to see what other people are saying!
If the Tumblr tagging system isn't your ideal communal watching experience, that's cool too. We're set up on several other social media platforms that you are welcome to check out!
Also you can follow this blog! It's not super necessary, but it will make keeping up with any updates easier. Also, likes and ESPECIALLY reblogs of any and all posts are greatly appreciated--I don't really care about notes for notes' sake, but since the whole point is to keep people watching Nightmare Time, I'd love for the parties to reach as many people as possible!

We'll be hosting the watch parties here on Tumblr, but also on Discord, YouTube, and Twitter.
Our discord is currently invite only! DM this account if you're interested in joining and we'll see what we can do. The server is super chill and fun and there's a surprising amount of discussion and theorizing about Chumby.
We don't have a specific YouTube page (yet!)--we'll simply be hosting the watch parties in the comments sections of the Nightmare Time episodes themselves. This will have the added bonus of really showing increased interest in NMT, and getting us one step closer to our ultimate goal: MORE HATCHETFIELD!

That would be me! Hello! My name is Brooke (she/her), and you may know me on here as @man-down-in-hatchet-town. I want these watch parties to be as positive an experience as possible, so please feel free to reach out to me on this page OR man-down with any thoughts, questions, or concerns. Unlike Hidgens, I promise I won't show you my résumé!

I actually don't know this one (though I have lots of thoughts and ideas, help)! But I do know that rewatching Nightmare Time will help us get the chance to find out. So let's get our Bliklotep on and do this thing!
Hello Sniggles! Blinky may be a tyrannical evil overlord who sometimes won't let you eat for a week, but as the Lord of Watching Things he also understands the importance of a good content warning for any eyes that may need it.
As such, we here at Blinky's are working on compiling a list of content and trigger warnings for Nightmare Time 2 that will be available to be optionally viewed alongside our promos. But as we servants of Blinky only have two eyes each, not a thousand, we need your help! Below is a survey listing all of the content warnings we currently have collected. We'd really appreciate everyone taking a moment to go through the survey and make any suggestions for additional warnings that you may have.
All questions are optional, so you may take as much or as little time as you like.

I love the part in Honey Queen where Sam asks Zoey if she'll take him to New York with her when she makes it big on Broadway. There's so much hope and longing in his voice... for just a split second he stops being Sam the Scummy Cheater Cop and becomes a guy who wants to be loved and valued, just like anyone else.
That's what I love about so many of the Hatchetfield antagonists. They are horrible people who do horrible things, but they are still, in fact, people. People with hopes and dreams and loves that we can't help but relate to in spite of ourselves.
Also while watching Honey Queen with @blinkysrewatchparty we talked about the theory that Miss Holloway was a Honey Queen, and realized that Holloway surviving being Honey Queen and then going on to become a successful pop star could be part of where the idea that the Honey Queen goes onto bigger and better things comes from. Like, the people of Hatchetfield have no evidence to support that claim, none at all, but maybe buried somewhere in the collective subconscious is the memory of the one woman who did just that...
Attention all Sapphic Hatchetfield fans! (And Sapphic enjoyers too of course!!)
The Hatchetfield fandom is a wonderful place with a dedicated community of fans, both creators and readers alike. The realm of creativity we’ve gotten out of this series of musicals and online productions is truly incredible, and we at Blinky’s Rewatch Party love to see how the fandom plays with this universe Starkid has given us. However, there is one thing we’ve noticed.
There is a lack of F/F ships in this fandom. If one were to look at the Hatchetfield Universe tag on AO3, F/F ships are in the minority in terms of fics where it is the main focus. There is a tendency to add F/F ships as a background to a M/M or M/F ship fic, which has led to those types of fics to flood the search results when looking for purely F/F. We consider this unfair to those looking for their femslash fix.
So let’s make a difference. Let’s write some. Let’s draw some, make edits, aesthetic boards, let’s fill that Hatchetfield tag on AO3 and Tumblr. With multiple timelines being canonical in the Hatchetfield universe, the possibilities are endless. It doesn’t have to just be sideline ships like Alice/Deb, it can devolve from what’s “canon” or just be plain crackships. The world is our oyster. What matters is that we can make a sizable chunk of fanworks that are predominantly centric around F/F ships.

At today's @blinkysrewatchparty Honey Queen rewatch, we were talking about the moment when Paul claps for Linda's performance, and how out-of-character that seemed. But I've always liked what Jon does with that moment because Paul... doesn't seem at all comfortable. He smiles, and claps, sure, but the joy doesn't really ever seem to reach his eyes. The enthusiasm isn't there at all and he noticeably stops clapping long before Corey, the other "audience member." To me, Paul just looks like he's trying to fit in with everyone around him. And from "Show Us Your Hands" we do know that he mimics to get by...
(Also, pretty sure that Paul either doesn't tip for the song/tips but doesn't ask for the song or else tips and runs for his life immediately after.)

Gerald's mention of the snowboarding competition incident in college makes me think a lot about Jane. A smart woman, friends with Linda, who would go onto become her therapist... how much did she know or suspect?
I do believe that Jane the human wasn't a bad person pre-car. But the fact that she was friends with Linda and Gerald does suggest a certain... conditional morality on her part.
Jane is so fascinating I hope we one day get to meet the alive version of her.

I just realized Gerald saying "into the lair of the devil himself" right at the start of Honey Queen is 100% foreshadowing (Roman serves Nibbly and the dinner they're going is what kickstarts Linda's crash-course with the Lord in Black). God I love this episode.
