I was listening to some political podcast about the upcoming elections and it got me thinking about one of my favorite things that happen after a presidential election, which is that American people all relearn about the existence of the electoral college and get outraged that it’s a thing. So I thought the same thing would happen to America. Every election year America gets asked who’d he vote for and every year he has to infrom them that he’s not allowed to vote because he’s not a citizen. And every year pundents make a huge deal about it. 

 Early on the founding fathers never recognized America as a citizen due his supernatural state and mystery about his “powers”  and worries of bais so he falls in a weird limbo of forever immigrant, honorary American and made up special personhood.

The woman in the bathroom is trans and is scared that if she comes out of the stall the women that walked in will insult or harass her. but when she comes out they compliment her on her dress instead. The add ends with saying “stress tested for women.” It means Secret is including trans women in their definition of women.

I have reblogged this three times now, each one mentioning the fact that Secret not only included a trans woman, but that they /had the other women compliment her dress and treat her with respect/. I will reblog this every time I see it because it’s so important. More companies should involve trans people in their marketing - we do exist. Props to Secret for getting in on this movement. It makes me really happy to see more of the trans community represented in daily television.

oftentimes, family members think that they’re helping, or showing concern, but in actual fact they’re hounding the person and being way too over-protective and cautious around them, it just makes the person diagnosed feel so much worse and isn’t helpful at all

the best thing to do is be understanding, but calm. be rational with the person, treat them just as you would normally (unless you were a dick to them beforehand, and i won’t even get into that).
