“Come and get me!”  He knew full well Tidus can and will run after him.  But, this is probably the most fun he’s had on the island, so, he’ll let it slide-

Can and will, indeed. He’s mostly forgotten about the cold now, filled with the thrill of sport that he’s so dearly missed. “ Don’t say I didn’t give ya an out! No mercy! ” Cue a mad dash down the road. He’s even going to dive in for a tackle when he gets close, but whether he’ll actually grab Shadow or eat dirt? Well, that’s up to the other boy.

“Yeah???”  He suddenly skidded to a stop and turned around, scooping up some more snow and throwing it his way.

“That one’s for the road!”  He was ready to run if Tidus started for him again though-

He’s able to swoop down and avoid clear shot towards him, which further fuels that dangerously hot ego. And to think, he’s grown so much more humble since Yuna’s pilgrimage. “ Heh! You gonna admit defeat, or you gonna make me sprint all the way down there? ”

Abort!!  Shadow threw any snow he had and brought himself packing.  He was not letting Tidus any closer to him than he already was.  “You take things too far!”

When Shadow flees, he hammers to a halt and laughs triumphantly. “ We were just gettin’ started! All’s fair in love, war, Blitzball and snow battles! ”

“I look forward to it!”  The friendly banter was fun, but when Tidus’s shot did connect, Shadow let out a gentle ‘oof’.

“There’ll only be one of us left standing by the end of this, and it’s not going to be you!  I promise you that!”  He was already gathering more snow in his hand and forming it as quickly as he could.

“ Don’t mess with the star of the Zanarkand Abes! ” He grins, thrilled with his efforts, then ducks behind a car parked on the side of the street. An idea strikes him; trouble accompanied by the determined furrow of brows. He picks up a handful of snow, but doesn’t really bother to pack it. 

Instead, he’ll rise, hopefully dodging whatever throw comes his way, and sprint toward Shadow with the full intent of shoving the snow down the back of his shirt. See how he likes it! “ Here I come!! ”

Tidus skitters to shove together a snowball. Admittedly, though, he’s not very good at it. Not much snow in Dream Zanarkand, after all. Clumsy hands need time to pack his ammunition together, and there’s more than enough time for another shot while he feverishly works.

“Ha!  Do you think I’m scared of this powdered ice!  I encourage your best shot, make it count!”  While Tidus was busy putting together one snowball, Shadow had already made a few more.

“You need to work faster than that if you hope to show me what for, fool!”  And he’s already pelting Tidus with a couple more snowballs, followed by devilish laughter.

“ Geh--!! ”

He raises his shoulder to catch the incoming shots, since he’s now aware of the fact he’s under attack and alert. The cold doesn’t feel good, but it’s better than having it crawl down his spine. 

“ You’ll be shakin’ in your boots by the time I’m done! ” Without warning he springs up, reels his arm back, and whips the snowball in Shadow’s direction, aiming square for his chest. It’s a powerful shot, the testimony of a Blitzballer’s skills. He’s diving for cover, but you bet he’s gonna wait and see if the shot connects first so he can gloat.

Right on the back of the neck. He’s not expecting it, after all. When that cold snow trickles down the back of his shirt, you bet he’s letting out a yelp and scrambling to shake it loose. But he’s also a multitasker, whipping around to look for-- and spot-- the culprit. “ You! Oh, you’re in for it now! Do you have any idea what this arm can do? ”

“ Bah! This sucks! ” Quite dramatically kicks at the snow. “ It’s... too cold out here! ”

In a rare show of generosity (and patience,) the tailor found himself volunteering at the Silver White Winters booth, teaching a few craft classes himself. He even brought extra stock from the store–fabric, craft needles, scissors…

“Yes–there you go. Now you’ve got it right.”

…Though, it seems he’s still not too great at being particularly friendly.

Free classes? Usually not his thing, but on this particular day he’s been quite bored-- and now it’s the poor teacher that has to take the brunt of that boredom. “ Hey, uh, teach! What about me? Am I doing it right? ”

He is, in fact, not doing it right. his needle technique is lazy and hurried. Who has the attention span for these sorts of things, anyway?

“ Oh yeah? ” Tidus laughs along, a fleeting chuckle, without even knowing the punchline. “ Sounds good, whatever it is. Hey-- how about if you tell me what it is, I’ll tell you something that makes me laugh, too! ”

this place was… home. or well, it had reminded him of a place back home. the back alley had been an illegal marketplace to acquire everything and anything taboo. vials of animal blood, dirty magazines, stolen goods, fresh meat. all of it, every single bit of it, was a feral animal’s dreamworld. though granted the majority of it was rather well-kept where he was from. that was only because of the yakuza who ran the districts within the province. 

but now? now it was nothing short of a nightmare. 

claw marks were carved mercilessly into the wooden doors of the surrounding shops. tufts of fur clung to the blood stains along the pavement. herbivore bones could be found sticking out of the dirt, of all and every variety. the moon above was painted red. a deep, sickly color of red, as if it absorbed all that had been spilled on this plane below. 

and all legosi could do was stare at the remnants of such slaughter.

From a flat, desolate wasteland, to normal city, to a strange rotting landscape rife with swarms of pyreflies thick in the air, it’s all really too strange for him to make heads or tails of what’s going on. So instead of thinking, he continues forward, exploring the remnants of Spirale, humming to himself to preoccupy his mind. It’s a choppy hum, half-assed and ignorant of another’s presence. He passes by an intersection and is about to turn the corner when his voice catches in his throat and he stops, backing up to look at the figure he’d barely registered in his mind with how still and silent they stood.

“ ...hey! ” He barks, without thinking. Sure, they looked sentient enough, but it struck him that the invisible creatures roaming around were mutts, and for all he knew, maybe they really did stand on two feet, and Shadow was just a really good liar. Still, his gut instinct tells him that this predator isn’t going to snap his head off.

“ Hello? ” He repeats, coming closer. “ Anybody home? What are you doing, just standing there? ” Tidus cranes his head and stands on his toes to make sure he’s not missing anything, then peeks in front of Legosi and waves a hand in front of his face. “ You’re not in a burning forest too, are ya? ”

Never met the guy except once in a dream after I found out who I was. It’s not a happy life, negative ten out of ten would not recommenced. We ain’t like Odysseus’ Odyssey.”

Success, because Tidus does, in fact, give a little laugh. More of a chuckle that can’t really decide whether it’s fully genuine or still shocked at the sudden confession. “ You don’t gotta worry about me... I’ve got no interest in being anyone except well, me. ” He’s already forgotten every single god name Leo dropped in the last minute. “ But... yeesh, sounds like you were better off only meeting him once by the sound of it. ”
