An object that suffers trauma from the loss of their partner, this trauma develops into a form of narcissism to cope with the loss by detaching love from other people, in fear of getting too attached and being hurt when they pass too, and instead placing that love in themself into an extreme degree, thinking only then will that protect them from the same pain.
Maybe throw in an objectum element of being drawn to an inanimate object that looks exactly like them. See it’s “fine” to them as this inanimate is completely like them so is an extension of themself and thus is them so can be trusted to be a holder of their love
Wait until they deal with the situation of losing that cherished inanimate then they’re going to feel like losing a part of themself
I apologise if this is a gross misunderstanding of topics like these, I’m just going off what research I’ve done into narcissism developing as a trauma response- I should probably read more into it. I intend no harm with this post, and I have an open mind to any criticism!
so for starters i had consumed like r34 of adults in school uniforms again, I’m presuming they’re adults cuz they’re not tagged as underage
and also interacted with a lot of r34 of MLP, mainly with anthro versions
I went back to do erp with the person whose also my age (17) both late 17, and I did share 3 well-received ideas that took place in like American college with like students or a teacher and a stupid but also there was another planned idea still in American college with a sapient quadruped, an Espeon, shamed and treated like an animal. Two ideas were supposed to include the submissive character being cut open.
Think there was also discussion over who’d be the character before deciding on an Espeon, lot of me being open sapient quadrupeds. First started out with object-taurs specifically an object dog taur like a husky, and then moved on! Of course I stated “preferred not any real animals” when asking for suggestions, got suggested Eevee but was iffy on that.
Some sexual talk too.
Uhh then there was the 18 year old person who I suggested erp with. After some discussion, then decided on an osc erp that included a sapient dragon, a Minotaur, a bunch of freaky objects including a guy that wanted their innards eaten, and also like this mount, a steed, a Felski that was sapient of course. It did start but then by the end eh…
Uh there was talk over what extreme kinks I’d been loosen up to (though with hard limits set in place)- it went from like fences, parasites, organ fucking, unbirth, sapient quadrupeds, other things. A lot what I just mentioned I was into or kinda into. Don’t feel like that’s true. Also discussion about including any of their favourite sapient quadrupeds into a further rps that never happened, those were like felskis (did search r34 of that up), the birds from final fantasy, seikrets or rain world liszards. Also include dragons. I said I’d be up to do rps including either seikrets, those final fantasy birds or rain world lizards. All sapient of course but ya know…
Think I also messed around with looking up crotchboobs r34, preferably on anthros
I was going so well for over a week and I tossed it because I was feeling aroused last night. Fuck. Yeah this was more of a dumping ground of what happened, like I’m sure I missed something or I know I’ve been vague about stuff.
I just realised Spool doesn’t have a Coldwave ref sheet yet, but Citrus kinda has had one in the form of the cyanosis one.
And yes I know it’s been around for a while and probably had been used before for like flashback scenes in earlier episodes, though now applied to present Citrus

right now I met someone who was acting like an NPC, and I ended up acting like a character between her and then this other guy
it got uncomfy when the other guy talked about seeing something inside idk I think that’s just me being paranoid
uhhh my character I ended up just acting out was like a guy that lived in a lake and had a beef with a fish, I tried to tell a story of beating the big fish but it kept on getting sidetracked. Also talked about having my dorsal fins broken by the other guy, who was green. Apparently also my character was involved in the explosion at the factory the green guy worked at and it was for a coupon for free fish sticks.
also got called a fish lover by the green guy tho corrected that the blue guy was a piscivore, eats fish. I also called the green guy both a snot glob and a mucous membrane.
also some interaction with the “NPC”, she was mainly talking about her abusive husband who wasn’t around anymore, think got shot, and also she probably grew up in a traditionalist family. It probably should’ve been taken more seriously by me, I mean I did get serious though it kept on being sidetracked by goofy talk with green guy.
I did a big stupid a very big mistake and even tho things were going well for a week!
So like I got too in the mood after talking about doing a dissection rp with someone who I learned was 21. I already assumed they were older than me. So yeah I am being a bit vague but like I explained after they asked that it was for a kink thing.
They also said they were ace and would be like uncomfortable in some sexual situations
so yeah! RP gone but that’s okay, they did suggest just continuing to talk about biology headcanons but I didn’t want to after all that, didn’t feel comfortable specially given the age gap. But like it’s my fault cuz I engaged the convo first and it’s not like they were wanting to do it if it was for pleasure, I did say it was for pleasure beforehand but like they didn’t know if it was just simple like or actual arousal.

So I haven’t been able to binge the among us show yet don’t have capabilities…BUUT I have spoiled myself and I have done a lot of thinking and seeing
I wanna talk about three major things: their lack of a skeleton, that useless bone in their body and what’s going on with their visors.
I have not drawn any doodles but I will do so next time, just to better visualise. All my headcanons below the cut
(I) Boneless
Amongi, beans, the crewmates, whatever you wanna call them have no skeleton. They have a bone, but come on it’s not really a skeleton.
Their actual ‘skeleton’ is taken up by their muscles. They have muscles all throughout their bodies though it is most dense in the legs. The legs act as muscular hydrostats, like the arms of an octopus. A muscular hydrostatic is basically just the muscle-only version of a hydrostatic skeleton, where in that a vessel of fluid is surrounded by muscles. Meanwhile in a hydrostat, it is just muscle as muscle is mostly water and so they’re incompressible and yeah and these hydrostats have three variations of muscle.
There’s plenty of other muscular hydrostats in nature than just cephalopod limbs, such as elephant trunks and mammalian tongues.
But how do they protect their vital organs if they ain’t got a ribcage? Well, plenty of animals without a ribcage do just fine. Though for amongi, their skin is rather thick actually in the game, like an elephant’s. So, I’d think it would do most of the heavy lifting in protecting these guys while being flung about.
(II) The Bone
That singular bone in their body is not useless however. Now if you know about cephalopod biology you’re probably gonna think this is familiar.
The bone itself acts as an attachment point for muscles in the torso and also for the vital organs. The idea was inspired by the gladius of cephalopods, their internalised shell.
The gladius also serves as that function and I’m starting to realise maybe Amongi are more squid than I think, at least in my headcanons.
I would also say the bone is far more flexible than our own than previous thought. It is probably the hardest body part within their entire body actually, since all the force and pressure of their muscles would be bore onto one single bone.
(III) The Visor
Originally I was split between the visor being either just one compound eye or a glassy mask for their true eyes underneath. Although, I kinda remembered Cyan crying and I didn’t like the idea of them just having one eye, since look at their glasses in game. They have shades with two lenses, which wouldn’t be helpful for one eye.
Instead their eye is parted into two pseeudo-eyes, covered by a flexible layer of cells containing silica. Both separated pseudo-eyes can’t move independently but they I suppose give the amongi a vision like ours. That way I don’t have to worry about these things having poor depth perception.
But I’m not done with their visor just yet cuz I wanna talk about some bonus headcanons, just short ones.
THE BONUS STUFF
Phylogeny
So I imagine most of the terrestrial lifeforms on the amongi’s original homeworld belonging to a large clade that the amongi are related to. The second most dominant group is bunch of wormlike creatures.
But, this Amongi clade is split into two sub-divisions: The Unioculi and the Duoculi, both literally meaning ‘One eye’ and ‘Two eyes’ respectively. They don’t count the pseudo-eyes as their two eyes, instead the visor in the Uni clade is called the eye. In the Duo clade, the visor is separated into two eyes fully.
The Duo clade is a little more recent on a geological timescale, though is still pretty old. Their two separated eyes probably was a factor into them taking up most megafaunal niches on the planet.
This clade is what is home to a creature which is basically just the Fresno Nightcrawler. It’s probably not called that, or maybe not. Maybe Fresno is not a Californian town in the Among Us universe but actually a place somewhere, that these guys are native too.
Anyways, they evolved from a cave-living species, meaning their eyes greatly reduced in size and they became paler and probably have shorter fur. And they became nocturnal, sleeping through the day in caves and then coming out into forests at night. Alsooo young are only cared for by one parent, unlike in Amongi where they’re cared for by two.
Yeah!
What’s up with the hands
So Amongi have floating hands and that shouldn’t really work, but I think I have an idea.
I got this idea from the Chain Fish, found in the spec evo project ‘Seas of Polinices’. But also kinda from brittlestars.
Basically the hands are controlled by radio waves sent from the main nervous system of the body. These radio waves are sent and picked up by thousands upon thousands of microscopic structures similar to radio antennae, as found on the cell surfaces of brittlestars.
A lot of your headcanons overlap with my own, which I think is really cool. I also was theorizing that Amongi had silica covered cells for their eye and there were two of them merged into one.
The main difference I think was I was working on something where they were similar to cuttlefish whose eyes migrated closer together like flounder and their tentacles fused together to make legs.
I also REALLY like the idea of the floating hands being controlled by radio waves. I think that was a really clever work around for a game design that doesn’t translate well into speculative biology.
AHH thank you! I’m actually surprised at least majority of my own headcanons overlap with someone else’s. Especially their visor bit.
And oo that’s interesting! I could actually see the ancestors of Amongi being cuttlefish-like, and I find the idea of a cuttlefish walking on two tentacles like legs is very amusing. Actually now being reminded of Gezora.
Anyways I’ve kinda struggled on my own idea of an Amongi ancestor headcanon, I’m split between an old marine ancestor that was basically just flipped over, like how baby hammerheads swim upside down. Or maybe something sea pig like?
Also thank youu! Lots of my ideas come from hearing some piece of info and hoping it still applies, and I just learned Amongi have a limit to how far they can stretch their floating hands in a certain direction. Which kinda does make my headcanon feel stronger, cuz radio waves would weaken over distance! I think.
Can I also hijack this repost to talk a bit about some general idea on Imposters and what I think they are? I’ll put it under the cut! Also TW for talks about parasitism!
A cut for a short paragraph Hm.
Basically Imposters are natural predators/parasites of Amongi, in fact they’re native to the same planet. That’s how I imagine they get on board ships, since obviously they can’t survive in space so they must be bound to surviving on a planet. And well, there’s plenty of examples of organisms hitchhiking on ships.
Anyways Imposters actually look like these weird bristlestar-like creatures with too many tendrils. They’re a light pink and they’re also just really gooey, since they’re mostly made up of water. It makes them all fluid, allowing for shapeshifting and for squeezing nearly into hiding places.
Their impersonation phase usually entails an imposter pouncing onto the back of their host and trying to make an entry point. Once inside, they control their host or make them feel drowsy to go send them to a private space without pulling up suspicion. Then they hollow out their host and take up all the space, leaving the exterior the only thing that’s left of the host.
I’d say also they have a regeneration like flatworms where two pieces are separated and then regenerate into two complete individuals. That’s why like the crewmates killed by the imposters are all moving around, cuz that pink goo that’s the imposters and they’re just puppeteering them, since you can’t make impersonate an already damaged body.
Also just reminds me, Orange would still technically be alive by that headcanon’s logic cuz a part of their tissues is still controlling some of the crewmates they killed. Or maybe it’s just Green.
ooooh you’re imposter headcanon is a really interesting one.
You’d think that a species that has a natural parasite that essentially hijacks them would have better defenses but maybe their parasites are relatively new and Amongi hasn’t been able to develop a proper way of detecting them yet.
I like the flatworm tidbit too it makes the parasites a little more icky and harder to kill.
I do think it would be interesting if the imposters instead of having a parasitic relationship with Amongi if it would be more interesting if they had a more mutualistic relationship. Then over time the imposter symbiote became more like an organ the way the mitochondria were absorbed into cells.
(just an idea, I’m more subscribes to the idea that the imposters are some how a different species of amongi)
With that idea could can have generational imposters and newly transformed imposters (I’ve been down the Rodamrix Among Us rabbit hole lol)

Buuut I’d say that yes imposters are related to Amogi, though I say distantly related. Their ancestors became more cave dwelling and eventually atrophied so much they became their simplistic forms today.
If aligning with my phylogeny headcanons, they probably parasitised other cave-living species, such as nightcrawlers or Amongi relatives. Eventually Amongi would evolve and may have spent time in caves to avoid harsh conditions, and one species of imposter would then hop over to Amongi.
Thought I give the entire genus to have evolved maybe like…3 million years ago? Yeah 3

Endosymbiosis is such a cool biological capability that it almost feels like a fictional cop-out lol, like what do you MEAN you ate something and now it’s a vital organ?
I highly recommend Rodamrix’s animations (at this rate it’s basically a show) they’re take on imposters (there’s actually like 3 or 4 variants of how someone could become one)
Do your Amongi have a way to detect if there is an imposter infected other? Like a form of uncanny valley?
The imposter parasite seems like it’s pretty dangerous and there would be a pressure to detect when someone is a carrier.
(Also 3 million years is practically nothing on the geological scale, dang they’re about as recent as humans are to the earth)
True true! Just haven’t applied it to an multicellular organism yet!

But also kinda! Maybe like noticing a failure in tasks that should be done easily, or picking out just something off from an imposter, especially if they personally knew the host! Those behaviours were strongest pre-industrialisation.
Carrier tho…uhh I think a host holding an imposter would be noticed quick to act a little robotic maybe?
