💕 Hi! Call me Blockbuster or Splatter, Selfshipper of about 3 years I think? (I'm no longer scared I have shed my shame shackles. my main is @/super-one-tax-evasion so if you see that blog follow or interact thats me!)

"what's taking so long, nervous?" you ask with a shaky laugh. you see them scoff at you and roll their eyes.

they respond, fingers still carefully closing in on yours. "i'm making sure you can hold yourself together while we do this."

eventually, they stop stalling the inevitable. their palm meets yours, fingers interlock, and most importantly, the grip gets stronger. the reaction is instant. you're hit with a strong wave of heat to your cheeks, now fully aware that they are holding your hand and it is nice. far too nice for how much shit you were talking earlier.

"so?" they ask, more curious than anything.

"fuck do you mean so?" you snap back, far too fast to be convincing. "you nervous or something? i bet you're terrified that you're holding my hand and can fumble this."

their eyebrow inches just a bit further up on their forehead and they ease their grip on your hand. "you do know you're the one holding onto my hand for dear life, right?"

…. you look down at your own hand to see how badly your fingers are digging into their knuckles and let loose just enough to regain your cool. "so. that doesn't count."

"you're funny."

yeah, you're basically a professional comedian. but they're the nervous wreck. so honestly, who's the loser in this situation anyway?

You might look gross, feel gross, hell, maybe you are gross. Your f/o doesn’t care. They’ll shower/bathe you, they’ll help you with chores, they might even brush your teeth and wash your face, maybe even put on makeup just to make you feel prettier.

Maybe they let you rest, doing chores around the house. They make sure your dishes are put away and clean, your laundry is fresh and folded, your room is rid from trash and your bed is nice and cozy.
