I had a chance to give a talk at #creativemornings about “Taking a chance on planet Earth”. I used Webpgr to build the presentation, take a look at the slides.

Piranhas
Asymmetric body highly manoeuvrable spacecrafts. Piranhas are designed to patrol a thermosphere level of populated planets. The main task of the fleet is to split large asteroid bodies to avoid devastating collision with settled areas.
Skateboards hanger at Webpgr
Some time ago I performed a present for my good friend and co-founder of Webpgr, where I work. The board hanger for Falko's various skateboards. The hanger is designed to hold 9 differently shaped rides with various wheel sizes. For the wall hanger design I tested several variations and the final decision led to a kind of a parking lot design. Three from about 10 design variations presented bellow. I generated, multiple structural concepts where one of them was acrylic laser cutting, but due to low budget we cut to the vinyl sticker and off-the-shelf clips hanger. And the nice thing about this clips that it carries same name as Falko's family name. :)
7th Sector Sea Monster
Sea Monster is space to surface vehicle. The vehicle development initially based on ekranoplan layout to fulfil logistics tasks on water worlds of 7th Sector. Several innovative features developed for the vessel: orbital drop, thermo-resistant chameleon skin, teflon belly coating, wing electromagnetic joints. Sector 7: Futurescape SketchWall Challenge submission. First test flights revealed construction weaknesses of early four-intake engines. During Orbit Drop trials were discovered several engine failures which lead to crash of vehicle. The main reasons to failure were high drag force of the block shape, low power in generator unit to sustain stable anti-gravity field plus weak structure of the engine block. On the later stage of development the problematic engines were replaced with two fused double engines with classic round form which drastically improved safety and performance of the vehicle. Ugly sketches. Brrr...
Coffee tank.
Coffee Corps hover tank is aimed to deliver hot beverage to soldiers on action field. It is fast, manoeuvrable and heavily armoured logistics unit. Imagine if it will not get to trenches… Coffee Corps Unit.
Mad Bat
Here we go. Finalised version of Bat and since now it is Mad Bat the stealth hyper-sonic unit. In the previous post I published some sketches and work in progress image.
Webpgr launch
Another space theme, this time for Webpgr. The artwork was processed to be shown at Webpgr's launch party. The unique thing about the shuttle, that uses all thrusters, including its own. Massive start... This version is adopted to be a wallpaper, so feel free to use it as the desktop image.
Reworked Barracuda BS by Denis Zholob.
Some time ago Denis made rework of his Barracuda Drone model. Since his first trial he drastically improved in his rendering skills and the result is a fresh look on futuristic Police bot. The design is originally based on my old sketch. Unfortunately, I had no time to post it immediately, I hope he will forgive me that. ;) Many thanks to Denis for sharing the coolest rework.
Bat
Convertible drone to pilot and backwards unit. The "Bat" continuous the BS series as a supersonic stealth jet. The jet optionally carries external detachable engine at its belly. The scene rendering is in process.
Sketch Jam 4
Another wonderful weekend at Oberholz. Fourth Sketch Jam meeting with Andre Oustinov, Ola Liola. This time I was into Automotive sketches.
At Webpgr
After some silent days... Several months ago I joined an interesting project and this explains my silence on the blog. The project is a startup concentrated on development of new age platform for websites building. It is not one of the platforms which offer a standard layout websites design like Wix, Squarespace or Webflow, but interactive, unique website builder where you can use gestures to navigate through. It is unique in terms of approach to design and final result. The project is named Webpgr (sounds like web pager). Recently I finished logo design for the project. The logo depicts "W" letter in brackets which stands for not yet existing html markup. Several options presented bellow for various usage. For example digital version can not be printed as it was designed in funky, RGB colors that can not be produced by common printers, thus we have print version. Light gray is also for printed media and it appear on our business cards. Dark gray version for extreme cases where non of others may be applied.
Sketch Jam 3
Another nice week end session at coffee shop. Another mecha walkers and markers. Some awkward drones and robots. And XR-T4s unmanned flak walker.
Sketch Jam 2
Another calm weekend "Sketch Jam". We had great enjoyment talking and drawing mecha. If you in the area next time, join us. Participators: Vadim and me. Medium 6 legged drone. Medium support manned and unmanned 4 leg walkers.
Sketch Jam
Recently we started to make sketch sessions or as we call it "Sketch Jams" at Oberholz coffee. Really nice environment in central berlin allows us to stay for 4-5 hours and make sketches. Participators: Ola Liola, Vadim Motov and me. Here are some results. My chubby spaceship. Kind of a transporter with weirdo pilot outside. And some mechs.
BSLA Drone, work in progress.
Ok here we go... Work in progress on BSLA drone in Cinema 4D. Working on design of drone which derives from initial drawings. The project is moving slowly, just because I'm learning the program and its features. One of the main tools I using is Body Paint. Awesome thing that it alows to paint over surfaces with ease just like in Photoshop. Also, I found that the final render may look like it is drawn in Photoshop. And I like it a lot. The big wonder is that now I can make an animation which stylized as quick 2D matte painting. So, later in plans, to try a turntable animation. Few images to your attention. To be exact, 15. Clay, kinda, which is very helpful to initiate morphology and see where are bad surfaces. The drone has flat fuselage packed with electronics, however it contains lockers for canopy connection at the frontal part of the bottom. The canopy is optional and will be modeled on much later stage. On this renders I tried to work on clean white surface adding some basic details. Later, I added more details like ribs in the middle, which didn't worked, imho. But the brake flips are looks ok, so I left them for future animation. The overall shape looks dynamic and well balanced. A specially from top. This is just stunning view. A separate story. The story of jamming with very talented guy, promising designer and good friend of mine Vadim Motov. To develop a more detailed look I made a render then overpainted it. The first drawing I made was kinda very initial and I felt it was not that good, so I asked Vadim, of what he thinks regarding the design. Vadim took it very seriously and applied cool tweaks on the sleeky body. Double tail and triangular intake, opening in the middle and some rigid wing connectors. Nice, ha! At some level I'm going to use several details from his sketch. After the experiment, I started to test Body Paint feature trying to nicely lay parting lines and markings. Something really surprising happened with the surface when I applied various grays on surface. It became kinda dirty and weared body with a look of quick Photoshop render. Lovely appearance. Few more additional details here. The flip has a hydraulic cylinder. See, that chrome tube there? And the frontal sensors unit with glowing eye. Up to now, this is the result. It is not finished yet, but the direction is seen.
