I'm trying to learn about the cultures that the fire nation was based in and implement them as properly as i can, and i'm having fun! As a history and culture lover this exercise is so relaxing and interesting to me.

I think my favourite part of Zuko saving Katara from getting crushed by rocks is that he pushes Suki out of the way to do it!

Suki was in the range of the falling rocks too. But he runs right past her, and looks like he pushes her out of his way in the process.

He's like 'the other day I watched this chick easily scale the wall of a high security prison and take the warden hostage in 30 seconds. She's sorted! Or Sokka can tackle his own girlfriend out of the way. I gotta help Katara!'

thinking about zuko having a bad day and katara peppering zuko’s face with kisses—every time she kisses him, she says one thing she loves about him. she reserves the best ones when she kisses his scar

what gets to me when it comes to zutara is that zuko is perhaps the first person who joined their group who made katara feel that her feelings over certain things can also be deemed a priority. I think this is a big gesture, especially for katara, someone who always puts others before her. he made her feel that her grief isn't something that should be swept other the rug for the comfort of others.

he offered to help her find closure, something that no one else had done before? and zuko didn't tell her what to do to achieve it, katara had all the say in the matter.

while the storyline in book 3 calls for a "zuko field trip", and others might reason out that "because zuko wants to earn her forgiveness", none of doesn't negate the fact that he still prioritized her feelings? I don't think people are putting things into perspective that what zuko did takes effort.

zuko empathized with katara and made an effort to get to the bottom of what is gnawing at her. I don't think zuko was even expecting anything in return? I mean even the hug itself surprised him.

I know I've said it before but I'm saying it again, I just absolutely adore how Danny's eyes glow green in human form when he's getting particularly mischievous, not just when he's especially angry

Like this boy has a built in warning signal for when he's about to be a little menace to society and I love that for him
