I feel so bad for Seunghan
I needed somewhere to rant about this because it’s so devastating as someone who doesn’t even stan riize but relates to the situation of kfans being absolutely delusional.
I have been a kpop stan for a long ass time (I’m old, it’s fine) and I have never EVER been able to understand the kfan mindset. I used to have kpop friends on twitter from South Korea and so many times I’d ask them why dating was considered such a scandal amongst idols. Every time it was a little bit of the same thing, the gist of it being “we spent so much money on their albums, merch, concerts, etc that for them to go out and date someone feels like a huge slap in the face” and every time I’d try to ask for further explanation on that there was always some elusion to basically seeing that idol as a potential dating partner.
I know every kpop fan on this planet is aware that sm entertainment notoriously handles every conflict poorly and they should of course be held accountable for how they basically threw Seunghan under the bus, but this is also a perfect example of how Korean fans need to touch grass. Imagine spending your own hard earned money to send FUNERAL wreaths to a kid for having a life before being an idol.
If anything I hope this just highlights how screwed up fan culture is out there and I hope all international OT7 briizes are doing okay :(
