"S-Senpai!" The small girl ran towards the tall man, what could be seen as a smile upon her lips, glasses bouncing against her nose, sliding downward exposing her golden eyes as she halted. "Please don't run today!"
Akihito gave a slight jolt when her heard and ever so familiar voice coming from behind him and quickly wheeled around to see the, cute-as-always, Kuriyama.
Akihito automatically went on guard, and despite what the gorgeous girl in glasses had said, he was more than just ready to run away. “Whether or not I run depends on what you do next…”
If buying Kuriyama food occasionally saved his chest from getting pierced on a daily basis, Akihito found it a just cause to go broke for.
A giant sigh departed from Akihito’s lips, did he really have a choice in this? Well technically he did, but one of the two options ended with him running for his life. Hypothetically speaking. Adjusting the bag on his shoulder Akihito sighed once more, brushing the thoughts out of his head. “Alright, Alright. Where do you want to eat?” Akihito asked in a calm tone, and a sympathetic smile. Even if Kuriyama has caused him an immense amount of physical pain, he couldn’t help but be interested in her, and her glasses.
"U..um..." She hadn’t thought this far. No part of her doubted that he’d buy her food, knowing how badly he disliked being stabbed her by blood sword. But she did not think he’d ask, not knowing any of the restaurants here, being new to the area. "What is your favourite?" Not that she cared, only have a vague interest, but it was an easy way to pick a place, her hunger growing increased her haste for a location. And if he enjoyed the food, why wouldn’t she?

"Well.." Diverting her eyes from his, a small blush against her cheek. "If you buy me dinner.. I won't have to attack you."
"I'm hungry, Senpai." In truth, Mirai was hungry most of the time, unable to get a good meal from her lack of funds. She didn't enjoy having Akihito spend his money on her, but she had no choice at this current time, and it seemed he didn't truly mind, having plenty of time to pound her with questions while she ate.
New Beginnings | Mirai & Izumo
There was a strange sense of familiarity as the young Exorcist walked through the streets only to have someone fall over a few steps away. A bush of puffy blonde hair reached her vision as she looked down, and for a split second she could have sworn the girl was Moriyama. There had been a minute sense of relief that someone she knew finally made their appearance in this dimension, alas it faded when on closer inspection she found the girl wasn’t who she thought it was. Strange how she felt disappointment at that fact, though she supposed it was better that her classmates didn’t end up here.
Without really thinking about it she’d smoothed her skirt down before bending to pick up the loose piece of paper presumably dropped by the clumsy girl, already pegging her as such. "Sleuthhound Quarter ten," she read aloud with the sheet of paper held between slender fingers. Standing back up at full height, crimson oculars met glass adorned ones.
"It’s a little ridiculous how much you remind me of someone," and not just in regards to her appearance either. Extending her hand to give back the piece of paper, she wasn’t the type to help out others out of kindness, but she supposed she could make a few exceptions. "You’re looking for your apartment right? I guess I could show you if you want" she offered a bit indifferently.
"Ye-ye-yes! I am!" Her words were spoken with excitement and gratitude, but there was no smile or warm look within her eyes to let the other know if these tones within her throat were genuine or not, in fact, they were. If the paper had flown away, Mirai would have been left with but a key and no clue to the destination of what it unlocks, and nobody to trust with the question she'd have on her lips. "I would like to be shown where it is." Having no clue on the correct way to greet another, to introduce herself, a pause was upon her lips while she stood blank faced, in thought.
"Kuriyama." Another pause. "M-Mirai!" She had forgotten her first name, the world surrounding her taking her mind from all else she had to concentrate on, though one could not blame her. This was not the spirit world she had been trained to fight against, this was not Earth. Perhaps an in between? Or the complete opposite. End of the line. Such conclusions were not welcome, however, instead turning her mind back onto the individual before her. "May I have your name?"
Though her glasses were never propped against her nose correctly, she could still see perfectly fine through the frames that exposed parts of her eye that had no glass covering. Her hair in a constant mess even more so from falling, there was no attempt made to fix it. Holding her hands close to themselves, her body was tight, almost defensive, though mostly for comfort reasons. "Please point in the direction!" A small jerk of her head, into a nod, her glasses falling down her nose even more so.
New Beginnings | OPEN
"Sl-Sleuthhound Quarter..."
Eyes danced as she examined the area around her. Everything was new to her, but nothing looked new. Buildings with cracks in their walls, the street dirtied, barely a pathment to walk upon. It didn't bother her as such, more that she was worried about tripping over in front of the strangers around her, as she was highly clumsy and thankfully no many knew of this as she was always alone, minus Akihito, whom she spent all her freetime with. Mostly only to practise with. A sigh hit her lips as she knew the chances of meeting him again was extremely small, him being immortal.
But as her mind melted with thought of her old life, the focus she had to stop herself from tripping disappeared. A crack within the path was her undoing. Falling flat upon her face, the paper she held flew in front of her. Desperately reaching to take a hold of it once more, she was stopped. Another had crouched down to retrieve the paper before it flew away with the wind. Eyes meeting, she was unsure what to do, gaining her compose and quickly rising to her feet once more.
Unwillful Battles | Mirai & Lucina
It felt as though the night time had come and everyone should begin heading home, but no one was. People still filled the streets with expectations on their minds of better things to come. Mirai had only been in this realm for a couple of days, perhaps more, she couldn't really keep track of anything, any more. The clocks that hang in certain buildings are the only way she can keep sane as the days pass with little change in the sky, only named as such as their are clouds above and little less. On her first day, it rained, petals danced in the sky, halted by the hard hits of water droplets plummeting from the heights of the world. There had been a report in a newspaper of someone becoming poisoned by said petals, but the rain had removed any more chances of such poisoning. It seems she should be grateful for the weather.
Not wanting to be seen as her clumsy self in such a place, as she walked her eyes focused on her feet as best as she could. So much so, she'd lost track of her steps and wound up somewhere she did not know. Her main goal was to find her apartment, using the paper that had been given, currently stuffed up her sleeve for safe keeping. I probably should have looked at the map, pulling her glasses from her face, a cleaner from her cardigan pocket, her fingers rubbed hard against the plain of the glass, the blue of the cleaner covering her digits. As she did such, her eyes looked upon her surroundings, her feet unmoving from her current position. To the left, nothing. To the right, nothing. Behind, nothing. But in front? A large stadium type building, with such an almighty noise coming from it there was no chance of her missing such a place. With hope on her mind, her glasses back on her face, she picked up pace and headed for the structure.
Her keep stood but metres from the entrance, more suited to be called a hole within the great towering walls of the stadium. There was no correct door, and if there were, she could not set eyes upon it. A gulp from her throat, she headed inward, fists tight, body shaking. The roar of the crowd was deafening, body twitching in reaction, filling her mind with words that could not be deciphered, most likely due to the fact that a good 90% of said crowd were screaming, without real words coming from their mouths. Such noise was unwelcome, causing an instant headache. Her body still trembling at the thought of entering such a place. Her fear was placed correctly, her judgement, not. Behind her was such a loud creak, then bang, the entire crowd were cut off, their cheers ceased instantly. Her body turned, facing the large wooden door that closed behind her, two creatures smirking wickedly towards her, chuckles lightly coming from their throats. "Youmu..." Were there truly youmu within this world? It seemed so. So far she'd only seen humans, the one who gave her the envelope about her homestead looked unusual, but the lighting was so terrible she could not make out what they truly were, perhaps they were also youmu.
Unknowingly, there was an identical bang from the other side of the great stadium. A shadow in front of it, similarly sized to her. Perhaps another that had wondered into such a place, now trapped with eyes staring down expectantly. There was no time to think of the situation and why she was placed here, why the other had been placed here also. Pulling the bandage from her hand, blood dripped freely from the never healing wound on her palm. Allowing the blood to fall towards the ground, a sword formed, crimson in colour. A sword made from her own blood, a perfect example of her great, but feared, power. Blood manipulation. Holding the handle of said sword, she shyly approached the other, the crowd still silent.
"Kuriyama Mirai. She… is kind of a weird girl.”
I tried to quit. I tried to lead a normal life. But the cursed blood coursing through my veins isn’t normal…
