Heute habe ich zum ersten Mal seit... uhm... 3 Jahren eine Pose gebastelt. Nicht, weil ich so große Lust dazu hatte, sondern aus der Not heraus, weil ich für die Fotostory nichts gefunden habe, das passt.

Småskärgård!
Auf dieser kleinen Insel ist Louise aufgewachsen. Sie ist Teil des Simforum-Adventskalenders 2014. Den entsprechenden Thread findet ihr hier:

Småskärgård war eigentlich tatsächlich nur als Kulisse für Louises Vorstellung geplant (und weil ich unbedingt mal eine skandinavisch angehauchte Welt machen wollte). Ursprünglich hatte ich vor, dafür einfach Aurora Skies umzugestalten.
Aurora Skies fand ich scheußlich, bis ich zum ersten Mal darin gespielt habe. Ich glaube, es waren die kräftigen Farben, in die ich mich sofort verliebt habe.
In Småskärgård fällt farblich alles etwas gedeckter aus. Ich hoffe, die Welt ist dennoch nicht weniger schön als Aurora Skies :-)
Es lohnt sich, im SF vorbeizuschauen! Calypsosim, Dekowolke, ingerigar und Sweet-Butterfly haben die Welt nicht nur liebevoll bebaut, sondern sich auch eine Hintergrundgeschichte ausgedacht, die zum Mitgrübeln einlädt :-)

And it seems like every time simmers find a good hosting service to put their files on, something goes wrong. Mediafire has dodgy ads. Megaupload went offline. Dropbox only offers 3GB. 4Shared started requiring a login to download (whyyy). And now Box.com isn’t refreshing bandwidth. Not to mention, simmers’ files are constantly deleted due to spurious copyright claims or purged for being old.
How many times have you found an awesome bit of CC, only to find the link is broken? Or had to go through your entire blog replacing all your links - or instead just given up and stuffed them all higgeldy piggeldy in a folder?
When simmers are offering mirror links on different hosting services by default, what we need is a better hosting service.
So we made a better hosting service!
SimFileShare is designed and maintained by nyshabrokeit and Delphy, and we’ve done everything with simmers in mind. SimFileShare can only be used for hosting sim content. This means we can tailor our features to simmers, instead of trying to cater to everyone like other services. We will be offering…
Free, unlimited file hosting - No limits on individual or total filesize, bandwidth, or number of files
Handy extra features - Currently you can view download stats and graphs for your files, organise your files into folders and share individual files or whole folders, and heart other people’s files to let them know they’re appreciated. If anyone comes up with any other awesome features we should have, we will seriously consider adding them.
But more importantly…
We guarantee that your links will never stop working
Simmers are an odd group, in that we really want our files to stay available forever - they don’t get out of date or irrelevant after a while. And this is the thing that other file hosts have failed miserably at. So SimFileShare has three ways of guaranteeing that your files won’t vanish:
We won’t change your URLs - Even if you move your files into a different folder, or if we change the way we make new URLs, we won’t change existing URLs at all. That means your links will never be invalid.
We won’t delete your files - We won’t delete files for being old, not having been downloaded in a while, or for belonging to someone who hasn‘t logged in recently. The only time we’ll delete files is if we receive a confirmed, legitimate copyright complaint - and because SimFileShare will only host sim-related files, we’ll know to be sceptical of anyone claiming that they contain copyrighted material.
Even if the site closes, your files won’t be lost - We’re not planning to ever close SimFileShare. But if that does happen, we’ll share all the public files with sites like Simscave and Graveyard before we go, so that all that lovely content won’t be gone forever.

In order to keep SimFileShare within the sims community, we’re running an invitation system for new users. All registered users will be able to invite an unlimited number of people - please only invite simmers!
That means that we need some people to sign up to begin with, who can then start inviting their friends. If you would like to be one of those people, you can send me an Ask or fill out our Google Form to request an invite. Bear in mind that there’s only one of me doing these forms, so I might get backlogged - I’ll get to you as quickly as I can!

WORLD DETAILS:
This world is on a tiny map (256x256), It has 5 lots (1 Residential, 4 Community). No Rabbitholes included. Almost all spawners placed (except the WA ones). It includes custom INI files and recolors by me and Gelina’s lightning tweaks. No 3rd party CC!
THEME:
This world is based on Costa Brava in Catalonia. The Name “Sa Pineda” means “The Pine Forest” in the Salat variety of the Catalan language.
USE:
This world has been made for the Midnight Sun Challenge. However you can also use it to take pictures, or whatever you want. You can edit the CAW files too :)
Read the rules of the Midnight Sun Challenge HERE. Download NRaas' REGISTER MOD to disable paparazzis, wild animals, tourists, etc.

KNOWN ISSUES:
When sims swim in shallow water in the diving lot they rise above the water and go back to the normal level once they have left the shallow area. It doesn’t affect playability.

Around the Sims 3 | Sims 4 to 3 | “Get to Work” Police Station
Another huge Sims 4 adaptation for the Sims 3: the Get to Work police station, with many decorative items (boxes, folders…), furniture (desk, cabinets, chair…), but also usable items (crime map, identification station, stoten ATM…) Most of the items exist in two versions: one old and damaged as EA intended it, and one cleaner, so you can use these items for other purposes.

I’m seeing my things converted :(
Since before TS4 was released I expressed that I would prefer to make conversions of my own meshes. While I am not even remotely surprised that people ignored this request and did it anyway, I am still quite annoyed.
It’s one of those things you just have to get “used to” that people not only take your creations and never give you credit, but worse - people then take those appropriated meshes and GIVE credit to for your hard work to the person who stole your mesh.
I recently saw my work converted and while I was credited for creating the mesh, the poster went on to say that they actually asked for permission from another creator. My TOU specifically states that I DO NOT WANT my meshes converted to TS4. Why ask one creator and not the others? Even if you missed the TOU, a simple request would have cleared things up.
Do I call these people out? Do I make a huge fuss and start a witch hunt? Frankly - it’s not my style. So here is what I propose:
As creators, we give of our time and efforts freely. This generosity comes with a small price tag - a simple request by way of the TOU. If you see someone who simply cannot control themselves and had to convert it anyway - do not download this item and let them know WHY you will not be downloading it. If I see my items in your screenshots tagged TS4, you will have lost my respect.
Hey ho, today I have a little tree setting tweak for you.
I think most of the LOD/Billboards are quite okay, but a lot of my trees are bigger than the EA ones, so sometimes it looks very ugly. But don´t give up - I have the cure - this little tree hd tweak.
I can´t say how much it will affect your game performance - I could not recognize anything with my system ( GTX 960, 8 GB Ram, 3,4 Ghz Xeon ), but you could use it for pictures only, cause it only affects the super high (4) tree setting in the options
How to install
be sure to make a backup of the original file - …\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\GraphicRules.sgr - or rename it to GraphicRules_original.sgr for example
not your personal sims 3 folder! Look under programs or program files
copy the tweak file to the Bin Folder
start your game and change the tree setting to 4
