Ok im ready to talk about x-men 97's finale and season 2 as a whole. I'm mad as fuck it was extremely underwhelming and relied on killing a beloved character to make any kind of impact. Again!!

The whole season was disjointed and messy, nothing was given enough time to be developed. This is why we need to start really demanding 20 episode seasons again. But its not even the lenght season thats fully to blame, this season truly had no focus. They are also too eager to wrap things up like what happened to developing things over seasons. Like one thing in the background i didn't like was polaris and bishops little picnic. Not because i don't like them together but because i thought they were gonna continue their flirtation and develope it for us to see and enjoy even more when they do get together. Not just a little background thing of look their together now. Its lazy it all just feels so fucking lazy. A lot of these issues i had with season 1 but i held off to see if they improved but they got worse with this season. I can only hope the new showrunner is better.

No offense to all the Logans in the wide exhausting multiverse of Marvel but NO ONE ELSE is doing it like Evolution Logan. He doesn’t hit on Jean (because she’s his student). The mcu only people found out about krakao and are using it to bash the x-men. I can't even fight these people because i agree with them.

They're like why would they have mr sinister and apocalypse on one of their council?! That's weird. And they're right. That was weird that they were on the sex cult island at all.

I legit hate krakao and wish it would be retconned into hell. It got so far away from what makes the x-men interesting and different to the avengers and just made them a weird cult to the average viewer.

Like the worse people i regularly encounter on the internet, mcu only fans, are right about this and it causes me great pain.

I have plenty of hang ups around x-men 97 which i've made known and many i haven't even got into. But i do like the pr that the animation is doing for characters who were getting nerfed in other media or just out right ignored. Mostly cyclops, polaris, and storm.

All the polaris edits i'm seeing are making me so happy. And storm controlling the sun like a goddess. They could do more with storm but i think its better than fox.

After reading All new X Men it is deeply unsurprising to me why Scott gets so attached to the Champions. My boy was having one hell of a year.

Since scott in the mcu is gonna be like 16 and we already have kamala khan and are probably gonna see miles morales and more introduced soon. I want the champions. That was the best part of the time displaced first class, scott's side quests with the champions.

Because every x-men movie is gonna be trauma, horror, trauma. Let him go to the champions every now and again.

Those rumors about them wanting to make charles and magneto brothers better be total bullshit. Mcu would be sick and twisted if they did that. Their homoerotic situationship ongoing messy divorce is a staple of x-men.

If they want to change a dymanic so bad it should be wolverine and cyclops. They should take inspo from x-men evolution of having logan as a mentor. Wolverine and cyclops constantly butting heads and arguing with eachother is more interesting if its because they have father/son type dynamic than the bullshit with jean which just makes logan look like a loser. Don't involve jean in it at all. The dynamic that the punisher and spider-man have in bnd is close to what i'd want it to be.

There should be none of that jean bullshit.

My inital reaction to jason todd getting a teen titans team was why? Like its just not one of the teams he's heavily associated with. But the more i learn about premise im like hell yeah.

Like those kids better call him chopped and unc especially as this is one of the times he's not being drawn like a 47 year old war vet.

I saw a video comparing kit and joe's american accents and kit sounds like tom hollands peter in the early movies. Its a little concerning but then i remembered it was coming from a project where he's voicing a baby duck. So, hopeful thats not the voice for scott.

Joe needs to work with a dialect coach tho, i'm sure he has but he needs to do more. He is fighting that accent especially on r's and like you want this to be long term income. Fix the accent or they'll secret invasion you and it'll be so easy they don't give a fuck about the young avengers on page or screen.

Thinking about how out of the og five in the first class four of them have gone through some form of metamorphosis and power up.

With scott having his own solo comic now i think its time for him to go through one. I know im a bit a broken record when it comes to this but i feel strongly about it. I also feel his solo comic has set it up really well by starting with a story were he loses his visor and glasses showcasing the limitations he has because of his reliance on these and how he has had to adapt.

Now picture this radiohead exit music playing. Scott restrained, his eyes forced open his optic blast about to be used against his will as a weapon kinda like the basilisk universe where they use him as a means of execution. Bond villain esque slowly forceably turning his head towards the intended victim. Scotts struggling pushed to the brink suddenly his optic blast starts to pull back cut to a close up of scott in control restraining his optic blast. Glowing red eyes and aura. This is the moment of metamorphosis. Cyclops without the limitation of the visor.

I also feel from here on we should see scott use his whole body as conduit for his power. Not like havok where its shooting from his body. But like its still coming from his eyes but he's chaneling it to the palm of his hand like a rasengan for close quarters combat. Or to his legs for mobility.

They really aren't and also the main thing that puts me off cooper is he looks older than he is. When i looked him up at first i instantly thought he was a lot older than sadie. Was really shocked to find out he was younger. And he could of course have gotten jacked for the role but kit already is if anything kit might be too buff and need to go for a leaner look for scott 'slim' summers. Also kit has the jawline to pull off being in a visor or sunglasses 24/7. Cooper does not.

They really don't look alike they just have the same colouring being pale and red heads.

Im tryna figure out which roster of x-men they're going for with these annoucements. I don't think they're doing the og first class. I cant see us getting warren or bobby unfortunately. I do think they'll have storm and with that we need to lock in.

This is the casting we need to be critical of because they need to finally cast a dark skinned black woman as storm. There's no excuse in big 2026 for her not to be there never was an excuse.

Because how are you gonna complain about him having a baby face thats what you want for the longevity that the mcu needs. Jean is depicted as 16 in bnd and sadie is 24 with a baby face. Scott will be introduced around 16 as well and kit is 22/23 i think he's slightly younger than sadie. He is eventually gonna lose that baby fat in his face and be as angular as you all want for some reason. He has square jaw now.
