Explaining the lore really badly

Skyfall - A world of winged people is nearly destroyed bc they jump-started a lovers-to-enemies fic

Ghost Rescue! - Local teen and friends become ghost-rescuers while slowly realizing about life and death and etc. plus the world nearly ending with bonus ghost magic

Flora - Flower people hires three humans to stop an angry orange flower from destroying humanity

The Unnatural Events - Depressed adult finds herself a job getting herself into bizarre cases, eldritch magic entities, and a s##t ton of trauma while trying to live a functional adult life

Answering the replies in a reblog since apparently the replies have a character limit. Even though the title of the book mentioned says herbs, it does have info on flowers too, and in fact, all three of the items mentioned were there-sort of. The entry on lilies is about them in general, and not water lilies specifically.

For lilies, planting them in a garden keeps away ghosts and evil, protects against the evil eye, and keeps unwanted visitors from entering one's home. They are good antidotes to love spells, and wearing or carrying a fresh one breaks love spells involving a specific person(I'm guessing of the wearer's choice). To bring clues to solve a crime committed in the past year, bury an old piece of leather in a lily bed. Finally, the first white lily of the season will bring strength to whoever finds it.

For lotuses, anyone that breathes in it's scent will receive its protection. Placing the root under the tongue and saying the words "Sign, Arggis" in front of a locked door will allow you to open it. The seeds and pods are used as antidotes to love spells, and wearing or carrying any part of the lotus brings blessings by the gods and good luck.

For rosemary, burning it emits powerful cleansing and purifying vibrations, and thus is smouldered to rid a place of negativity, usually before casting other magic. It is also one of the older incenses. When placed beneath a pillow, it ensures a good sleep and drives away nightmares. Laid under the bed, it protects the sleeper from all harm. Hanging it on the porch or a doorstop keeps thieves from entering. Carry it to stay healthy, and place it in the bath to purify. Wearing a chaplet of rosemary aids memory, and smelling the wood keeps one looking young. Adding a rosemary infusion to bath water aids with the latter. It has long been used in love and lust incenses, and healing poppets can be stuffed with rosemary to take advantage of its curative vibrations. Wash one's hands with a rosemary infusion before healing others, and burn the leaves along with juniper berries in sickrooms to promote healing. To receive knowledge or the answer to a question, burn on charcoal and smell the smoke. It can also attract elves, and wrapping the powdered leaves in linen cloth and binding it to the right arm dispels depression and makes emotions light and merry. Finally, it can be used as a substitute for frankincense.

Just posting my other OC that I didn't talk about in here.

His name is Aiden.

He's a sad and angry dumbass who wanted genuine love but he ended up summoning a demon to get revenge at his ex best friend and ex girlfriend from ditching him instead of moving on like a normal person.

Now here he is.. Stuck with a feral and violent demon inside him and both his ex best friend and ex girlfriend are helping him out while running away from a cult that's chasing after him. (Yeah, that's the gist of it)

Y'know what specific ship dynamic/interaction that I really like?

The character who used to be all fine but then over time they're littered in scars or covered in a major scar (Major bonus: if it's on the face)

Then they get a little self conscious and thinks of covering it

But then their significant other who loved them from the beginning comforts them

The scarred character turning their head away to hide the scars

"Hey.. look at me, let me see you entirely."

Gently holding their face, tilting slightly to look at them clearly

"When I said I love you, I meant entirely you. Scars and everything. You don't have to hide it."

Me: Hm, interesting.

My brain: It's also the same case if humans get infected by magick.

Me: Now I like it! But we need to work on that more..
