1.Which GoT character do you personally relate to?

Weird enough, I guess that the character I could relate more to would be Arya Stark. She choose herself. Survived.

2.Which GoT character do you love to hate?

Oh man. Definitely Catelyn Stark. I don't like her. I didn't like her povs. I didn't like her as a woman, a wife and a mother. I jusy utterly never liked her. I was so happy when she died. But then she came back. At least she would be more defined, instead of being part of those characters that blend in with the wall. Again.

7.What’s your GoT NOTP?

I kinda have a few. I don't like incests, so I was very disappointed at the end of the show. I didn't really pay mind to Cersei and Jaime as a couple druing the books. I started appreciating Jaime after he went away from Cersei. I started appreciating (kind of) Cersei since Myrcella's death. But at the same time, as I said, I was not really paying attention to them as a couple. What I didn't mind as well were Jon and Ygritte. They were just there. Fine. Whatever.

Realization came when I started seeing posts about Sansa/Petyr.

So I guess my NOTP would be Sansa/Petyr.

9.What your favorite GoT rare pairing?

I don't know if I could define it rare, but I mean, my main GoT ship is definitely SanSan, which is, compared to other pairing, not really popular. By the way, I don't know if I ship them or anything, but I guess that I liked the dynamics Cersei/Oberyn. Probably it would seem strange, but I think (that at least in the show) sexual tension was veru high. In the books, on the other hand, they seemed the kind to have 'hate sex' and then Cersei pissing off Oberyn, reminding him that they could never be together because of their shared history. They would have kind of a 'doomed' love which would never work (excluding Jamie and Ellaria from the picture).

i know that i’ve said this before, but like. grrm does such a GOOD JOB of building in his own textual allusions and making them both make sense and matter. 

to have something like the rains of castamere truly hit the way that it was supposed to at the red wedding, there had to be subtle building that established what that meant in universe without it being boring or too obvious that it was going to be a Thing and dear god did that deliver. 

and he does that same thing over and over again with different songs or fake books or fake historical events and allusions, and those have to be subtle and integrated enough that they aren’t just info dumps but interesting and relevant textual info that makes alluding to the rains of castamere or the original targaryen trio of aegon, rhaenys and viseyna MEAN SOMETHING as strong in readers’ minds as a real world allusion, grounding it as it’s own entrancing and stand alone universe

shoutout to george, fred, and especially ron weasley for realizing that harry was stuck in abusive and unhealthy household and, in spite of the massive trouble they knew they could get in, taking immediate steps to personally see him removed from that environment, something no adult in harry’s life did.

So I just watched 7x07 commentary on youtube which was narrated by Kit, Lena and dumb & dumber and I can honestly say now more than ever I believe they hated Jaime’s character.

Here’s a few direct quotes:

“<->….because Jaime’s, you know, just not quite as bright”.

“As you(Lena) say later in the episode he’s the stupidest Lannister, so”.

“Cersei is too smart to have meaningful conversations with the stupidest Lannister”. 

What the actual fuck?? They really saw Jaime as a dumb dumb who was only good enough to screw his sister. They reduced his character to Cersei’s loyal sidekick. Which only goes to show why they didn’t know how to write him after season 3 aka the moment they stopped taking ques from George. After all these years of disrespect towards Jaime if I were Nikolaj I’d slap a bitch. He’s too much of a professional though.
