Story concept where Batman learns that Task Force X is A Thing (probably got tipped off by Harley Quinn tbh) and is like... ok, time to be the World's Greatest Detective. Let's see what's going on here.
Step 1: Become an inmate at Belle Reve. This is actually very easy. All he has to do is pretend that Bruce Wayne went off the rails, managed to kill Batman, and then got stopped by Superman. This ensures that he gets locked up in Belle Reve instead of Arkham because it's officially a multi-city crime now.
Step 2: Sneak around Belle Reve to gather evidence. He accidentally gets on pretty good terms with a bunch of C-list villains, but that's nbd.
Step 3: Smuggle out the info. Clark Kent manages to secure an interview with Famous Billionaire Who Infamously Killed Batman. Info smuggled successfully.
Step 4: Clear his name by having one of the Batkids pretend to be Batman and say that Bruce Wayne was being mind controlled. Whoops. This is 100% an accepted defense in the DC universe so he can get out, especially since he has great lawyers.
Things get slightly complicated because he gets put on the Suicide Squad and has to a) pretend to be harmless goober billionaire Bruce Wayne instead of someone who could actually survive this, b) try to make sure both random civilians and random C-listers don't die, and c) uncover ANOTHER insane news story and smuggle that out to Clark Kent AGAIN while thwarting whatever the actual Squad goal is this time.
The less evil C-listers kind of adopt Bruce Wayne as their purse dog mascot. They have no idea what to think when he pulls out the ninja skills in a tough spot.
