i honest to god cried for almost an hour and my eyes are puffy. can you rec anything sci-fi/fantasy with wlw that does not end in their death(s)? bc i thought i had that in the 100
sure!Ā when women were warriorsĀ by catherine m. wilson is a book trilogy set in a matriarchal society with a bunch of warriors who also just happen to be mostly lesbians. itās awesome it focuses on all the different kinds of relationships between all these women and theyāre not gonna die!
thatās the best rec i have for you in fantasy but if youāre willing to go with post-apocalyptic, after the fall by robin summers focuses on the emotional journey of a woman who has gone through all sorts of shit trying to survive the end of the world. (and the wonderful woman she falls in love with.) [big content warning for rape on this one though so be careful]
these are the two that come to mind if you want something just vaguely similar to the 100. especially in the wwww trilogy, the two ladies (tamras and maara) remind me a bit of clarke and lexa. but better. oh, so much better.
Hello. This is an impressive and amazing work you've done. I was wondering if there was a list of companies and sites that the cast has endorsed, both officially and unofficially. The only one i can ever remember is Wormwood Gaming. I would like to check them out. Thank you.

You cheated last time, so I get to ask again :P Do you collect comics and if so what is the crown gem of your collection? Pics?
Yes I collect comics. I have almost 1500 single issues and probably a hundred or so trades.
Right now I currently have eight shortboxes and two long boxes filled to the brim with comics.
My crown gems are actually two things. I own the first appearance of Dinah Lance as the Black Canary, as well as the first appearance of Cable, both of which I bought from the same guy a year apart for only ten bucks a piece.
Keep the comic questions coming I love talking about my personal collection.
Do you have any w|w book recommendations? I too would like to hide in them forever because television is so fucking sad. I'm sorry for being a bother and thank you!

May I ask what video this gif set came from? It's the gif set of Travis and Ashley dancing to Get Lucky but I can't seem to find the video anywhere. post/138582782076/travis-and-ashley-dancing-to-get-lucky-requested
Answered this yesterday. Itās in this video here!
I apologise for my vagueness, but its my vagueness that brought me here lmao, I was wonderring if you know what episode/time this scene happens at which has been thrashing my mind a lil. Definitely in either 49 or 50 between Pike and Grog, along the lines of Grog saying (in a verrrrry adorable grog voice) "Noo, there's just some bad guys that we need to sort out" I would be ever smiling, and I fxckin' love both this and your Twitter (This being the only time I use Tumblr)!
Oh gosh. Iām going to post this in case someone else knows before I find it out, because I do recall something like this being said but I canāt remember exactly when!
Iāll update this when the moment has been found.
UPDATE: Found by @crossed-fox, Episode 51 1:41:49
if you take requests, could you make a gif of a moment in "Consequences and Cows" from 2:53:41 to 2:53:48 where Travis and Laura move and look at the exact same time identically? i thought it was a really cute little moment lol
holy cow. (ha.)
I really want to get into comics, specifically x men comics so I was just wondering where do you think I should start / which ones are particularly good?? Thank you!!
hey, its no problem but iāve answered this here, here and here!
This is a list of my personal favorite comics that involve Talia al Ghul. A complete chronological list of her appearances can be found here but there are issues included that are one-panel or non-speaking roles. Ā Another good list (and one well organized) is here. The list Iām providing, however, are issues that I personally love and would be good for people who are not well acquainted with the character.Ā
Iām going to post the list without a cut and then beneath the cut will be more elaboration about each issue and the content within. There may be some spoilers, but I tried to avoid giving the plots away.

What are your reccs for jaybirb
Okay you didnāt specify what kind of recs you wanted so [cracks knuckles] here we go:
Comics
Hereās a masterpost with pretty Ā much all of hisĀ appearances, andĀ hereās another one w working links in case you cant afford comics. I personally enjoyed:Ā
His robin run (both pre crisis and post crisis, but you donāt have to necessarily read both of them. You can skip pre crisis as he starts fresh on his post crisis run, but i think pc!jason is v cute and loved reading it) When i sayĀ āhis robin runā, i mean everything there is with Jason as robin. Taking the first masterpost as reference, everything there is fromĀ Pre-CrisisĀ until Gotham Knights. If you want a short version, i would rec his appearances on Batman & Detective comics, New Teen Titans, Nightwing Year 1, The Cult,Ā A Death in the Family, and if you want to be dead inside, read the aftermath of his death.
As Red Hood: Ā hisĀ appearances onĀ Hush, Under the Red Hood, Green Arrow, The Lost Days,Ā Countdown to Final Crisis was alright,Ā Li'l Gotham and Tiny Titans. I know! i seem to be forgetting a lot of stuff! I personally didnāt like the rest of his appearances on other comics, but you can give it a shot ofc.Ā
N52: n52 is a freaking mess. In my opinion Jason is badly written 24/7 but i guess i still enjoyed some stuff. Red Hood and the Outlaws is terrible, butā¦.. I love the relationship between Roy, Jason and Kori so i could⦠rec it. Donāt have a lot of expectations for it and youāre cool to go. I canāt remember a lot of Batman & Robin but if my memory serves me right, theres a panel where Jason catches Damian with his fucking hips so theres that. Batman Eternal was.. okay too, if you donāt mind the Jason x Barbara and Bruce being an asshole to Jason. Batman and Robin Eternal had their good fleeteing moments, but mostly is justĀ cringe worthy. He was pretty cool on the Robin War event, though (hereās a checklist and more info) and Ā I also enjoyed him on Grayson (#12/#15)
It deserves its own bullet point: Arkham Knight Genesis is one of my faves with Jason.

And i think thatās pretty much it!šš
Hey, i'd be interested if you have any book rec's with ace/aro protagonists? I'm struggling to find many good ones.
Hey!
So Iāll level with you here, depressionās been beating my ass for the longest time, and even though I know thereās good stuff out there, Iāve not had the energy to go delving into the nooks and crannies of the fiction world to find it, becauseā¦ā¦ yāknow, itās hard,Ā thereās fudge all out there, Iām tired
But Iām so glad you sent this ask because itās given me the motivation to sit my butt down and make this happen and this is IMPORTANT to me. So this ask has been an adventure for the both of us, anon friend~
Hereās what I found in my search! Iāve only read a few of them, for the above reason, but Iāve tried to collectĀ stuff thatās been written by aro/ace authors or has received positive reviews from aro/ace people!! Here goes!!! I hope itās not too lengthy, I got excited!!
The Bone People by Keri Hulme is a mystery novel featuring an asexual protagonist, the reclusive artist Kerewin. Itās set in New Zealand and focuses a lot on Maori culture (the author herself is of Maori descent, as well as openly asexual and aromantic). Trigger warnings for physical abuse, suicide and illness.
We Awaken by Calista LynneĀ (Ā @calista-lynne ) features two asexual protagonists, girls who love girls, paranormal shenanigans, and the most beautiful glorious amazing cover Iāve ever seen. Itās also published by Harmony Ink Press, who do positive LGBTQ+ stories and are all round awesome in general. I think this one is available for preorder now, but releasing soon.
Sydney West by Rebecca McKinsey is a mystery/thriller Iāve seen some really great reviews on, which features a canon aromantic protagonist, and also has minimal profanity and minimal graphic description, if thatās not your kinda thing.
How To Be A Normal Person by TJ Klune features an asexual stoner hipster and honestly I donāt even know what else to say about it but this book looks like a wild and very weird ride to say the least.
Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire has an asexual protagonist and creepy stuff and secret doors and other worlds. Also has a trans character! Seems like a neat premise, Iām keen to read it.
Cold Ennaline by RJ Astruc is paranormal novella also published by Harmony Ink Press, featuring an asexual (and by the sounds of the description quite possibly aromantic) protagonist.
Banner of the Damned by Sherwood Smith is an epic high fantasy with an asexual protagonist and a POC princess and lots of awesome worldbuilding and politics and yeah!
After I Wake by Emma Griffiths features an asexual protagonist and several queer side characters and is also published by Harmony Ink Press! Hooray! Trigger warnings for suicide and mental illness (though the story itself focuses on recovery).
Sinners by Eka Waterfield is a dark fantasy about an asexual sidhe drug dealer, so what else does a person need, really. But yeah! Itās got thumbs-ups from several ace reviewers on goodreads! Trigger warnings for drug use and violence.
Clariel by Garth Nix features a protagonist whoās pretty much 100% absolutely aroace and amazing, and from what I can see many of the aces/aros whoāve read this book strongly identify with her and her experiences and the general consensus is that itās awesome. Ā
Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld features a demisexual WOC and a lesbian love interest and Iāve heard pretty good things about it, though I havenāt read it myself.Quicksilver by RJ Anderson is a YA sci-fi with an asexual protagonist and lots of decent discussions on asexuality in the book, like the coming out scene, etc.
Interface: inSight by Lucy Mihajlich is another one maybe worth looking out for? It has a kickstarter going, and features a hearing-impaired aroace protagonist, nonbinary representation, and female and POC characters doing cool stuff and not dying⦠also has, like, cool edgy futuristic dystopia vibes~
A Word and a Bullet by Rachel Sharp has a very very very explicitly-stated aroace character. 100% aroace and cool with it. Also, quirky apocalypse stories are always fun, yeah?
And hereās some other neat stuff I found:
From Under the Mountain by Cait Spivey (panromantic asexual author, F/F high fantasy, lots of POC and women characters)
Fly By Night by Frances Hardinge (zero romance, cool premise)
The Tropic of Serpents by Marie Brennan (ace character, not protagonist)
Radio Silence by Alice Osman (honest and open discussions of asexuality and demisexuality, female mixed-race bisexual protagonist, male and female leads do not fall in love)
Make Much Of Me by Kayla Bashe (lots of queer rep, including asexual and nonbinary, super positive feelgood themes)
Mindtouch and Mindline by M.C.A Hogarth (non-human asexual characters, queerplatonic life-partnership, sounds hELLA CUTE)
Guardian of the Dead by Karen Healey (asexual POC leading character, not protagonist)
And I added like a billion things to my TBR lmao help me anon
