Well, I feel like an asshole.  I posted this a couple of weeks ago, and life went kinda nuts.  We’ve had insane storms, downed power lines - in my front yard, which was honestly terrifying - and my coworker’s house flooded so I helped out with that.  And, I’ll be honest, I was kinda sulking because no one commented on the story, even if it was just to tell me that the quality of my writing had tanked.  Then when I finally checked my messages on here, someone had asked where my story was.  Turns out I didn’t post it at all, I’d just saved it as a draft.  

It’s a gift for my poor exchange partner, @lucife56.  Go check out their art, folks, seriously.  It’s gorgeous, and not just Tolkien related artworks.  And I can only apologize for the incredibly late story.  I’m sorry, bb.

Just a reminder to always double check your work, folks.  Sigh.
