We have been getting a lot of requests for AeroPress demos at the Blue Star Coffee Bar so we thought we would share our brew recipe:
Blue Star Coffee's #AeroPress Brew Method: For a full bodied 12oz cup of coffee, grind 26 - 30 grams (2 Aeropress scoops) of coffee beans to a fine consistency (slightly coarser than espresso grind). Pre-wet paper filter with hot water. Add grounds to brewer. Measure 3 fluid ounces of hot water (directly off the boil, between 195 & 200 degrees F), and pour over the grounds. Make sure that all the grounds are saturated by giving them a gentle stir, and steep for 10 seconds or so. Slowly extract by plunging ( 10-20 secs). Top off with hot water to taste.
