i come to you all humbly to ask if i can make a strawman just this once
Funniest possible way to read house of leaves is to read a bunch of academic texts about the book without ever reading the book itself. There weren't enough layers of narrative separation between me and that fucking house so I had to build my own
i cannot explain why but the usage of clanker as if it were a genuine slur here feels very off-putting
i dont want to use a tampon either because it feels so uncomfortable and dysphoric but my flow is too heavy to go without one hdhjjsgjfs i dont know what to do
im really tired of having my period my flow is so heavy and i feel so gross and im in so much pain and im so dysphoric i just want to cry. and of course it happens now of all times when im doing my worst

your f/o does care if youre stuck in bed
your f/o does care if you cant eat
your f/o does care if youre crying every night
your f/o does care if you have family issues
your f/o does care if youre failing school
your f/o does care if youre at your worst, if you’re spiraling into what seems impossible to recover from
your f/o does care; for your wellbeing, your future, you in general. what matters is you, not the state of you— and theyre not going anywhere. these times will pass, and they will be with you the whole time celebrating your accomplishments.

I feel as if some people treat and believe that the intersex community is The Genitalia Fandom and not a group of marginalized people who are systemically oppressed for their innate sex characteristics who deserve respect and rights— outside of how their genitals might look, atypical or not.
I'm struggling with a lot of guilt lately. I've "felt intersex" since before I knew the word, I've near obsessively researched almost every intersex variation because I feel so deeply that I am intersex. Or at least I was meant to be intersex. I've been thinking about identifying as transintersex, Is this intersexist? Is this wrong? If it is, how do I stop feeling this way? What do I do?
There is nothing wrong with having these feelings. In fact, it's pretty common, especially among trans and nonbinary/genderqueer folks! I remember wanting to be intersex myself before I found out I actually was. I think half of how people even find out they're intersex is really really feeling connected to it and researching it to find out more.
I recommend looking into identifying as altersex[link]! This is a completely okay term that may be accurate for you! I recommend reading this[link] post on it as well. And, (I believe), @this-is-varsexism-transphobia has information on this!
There is nothing wrong with your feelings, and discovering your identity and the body you want to have, the only problem is using the right terms for accuracy and community. I encourage you to keep researching variations, and engaging with our community, and figuring yourself out, anon! This life is too nuanced to fully understand everything, but we must keep trying!
Identifying as "transintersex" is intersexist, because it implies that coercive intersex medical interventions/CIMI (genital mutilation, reproductive mutilation, hormone abuse, etc) can "turn you perisex", or vice versa. Perisex and intersex describe naturally developed sex traits during fetal development or puberty.
If you are looking for terms to describe transitioning your sex traits, might I suggest the following:
-Transsex (anyone who desires to transition their sex traits.) Every other term I will list from here on falls under the transsex umbrella. -Altersex (desiring mixed, null, or non-human sex traits.) -Duomorphic (an altersex identity, in which a person desires mixed sex traits.) This is preferrable over salmacian or aphrodisian, because the names for salmacian/aphrodisian both originate in the myth of hermaphroditus (which is where the h-slur comes from), and salmacian originates from a person who wanted to describe being "female-to-intersex/male-to-intersex." Plus Salmacis's entire myth centers purely around sexually assaulting Hermaphroditus, and Salmacis has no other importance in any myth. -Transgenital (desiring differing genitals.) -Transhormonal (desiring a differing hormone profile.) -Transreproductive/Transrepro (desiring a differing reproductive system/reproductive traits.)
And all of these terms have their own unique subsets, which we can direct people to if need be.
