Before anyone praises me for how well I drew the cars; save it. I haphazardly traced over models because I friggen hate drawing vehicles and I'm not spending my free time killing my brain trying to figure out perspective. You can find links to all the models I used here.

I will say though, as much as I dislike using/ relying on reference images and such, it was strangely liberating not having to freehand anything here and just think about coloring :D

All the coloring and rendering I did myself as always, it's just the lines I can't really be credited for :]

Misc design notes:

You get a vague suggestion of the Canary Car's interior bc the lime green seat covers were too funny to ignore. I also gave it green accents bc why not. I didn't bother with interior for the rest of them.

When I was a kid I pictured the Canary Car as some big American sports car or something. Realizing it probably wasn't was funny

Made Ghastly's van a Dodge Ram because... Boxing joke

Valkyrie's Jeep is also green because she misses him. She was originally going to get a black one, but there was a green one at the dealership n she caved. (n I didn't want to draw another black vehicle lol)

China has tinted windows for obvious reasons.

I always pictured her driving a little red car as a kid for some reason, but now as an adult she definitely drives something classy and white.

Hers is also the only car with four doors, for when Skulduggery needs to leap through them during his dramatic escapes xD

I forgot to draw handles on her car Her doors are locked/opened via sigils so she doesn't need handles :D

I asked the resident Tanith Low Expert @ventuschaos what bike she thought Tanith would ride and she said the Ducati. After about a day of thinking on it I actually switched it to the Suzuki for multiple reasons:

The year lines up better (SOTA takes place in 2007 I think)

The Suzuki has two seats, one for Val :]

Ignoring the year, it'd be sweet if Tanith started on the Ducati, met Val in SOTA and immediately was like "I need to buy a two seater for this kid" then kept the Ducati to give to Val when she started driving xD

(Or, taking the year into account, took Val motorcycle shopping and got her the Ducati idk)

Remind me never to render motorcycles again. I didn't even freehand the lines and I still got annoyed. Who decided they needed so many small parts?? Quit being dramatic

Amid critiques of buy trans women a pizza day it’s perhaps useful to remember that the day is, first and foremost, a day to memorialize the community work of Mira bellwether z’l, who died of lung cancer at only 40 (and spent the end of her life fundraising for survival) and was dedicated to ensuring that her community had access to pleasure & care & sustenance for her entire activist life. If you don’t think the framing is useful, that’s ok, and there are many critiques to be had of individual vs collective support. But I want to bring Mira herself into the conversation, bc this isn’t just a random day where you buy a girl a pizza for no reason. It’s about the work Mira has done + a way to extend the care she had for her community. I think you should, if you haven’t already, read fucking trans women + the many brilliant writings on bellweather’s impact and legacy
