I told my little nephew that I'd wave at his airplane when it flew over my house today, and he very calmly and politely explained that it wouldn't be possible to see me due to the limitations of human vision. I said he just had to squint real hard, and he took a deep breath and went into the toddler version of "see, what you're not understanding–"
is dimension 20 gonna show me a slinky getting trench foot or should I unsubscribe from dropout now?
i’m sorry i’m laughing but this gif set is usually paired with Anakin being a good kind person which makes it sad, but a perspective of Obi Wan telling Luke blatant lies is hilarious
I love how deeply fucked up the aesthetics of the Blumendrei mission flashback are.
It's hands down the most colorful part of the episode. The three of them are flirting and bantering the whole dance. The character designs and voice performances are very "teenagers acting a bit older than they are". Dressing up to infiltrate, the clever key handoff, the synth-y spy music...It feels very much like a teenage spy movie. And then the mission really kicks in and the killing begins, and the colors slowly darken as the deaths get more and more gruesome, as you are reminded this is only a teenage spy movie to the three of them, and this is actually a story about children being molded into killers.
One thing I learned while researching child soldiers is that they remain children, and they are subtly encouraged to remain children in between the bouts of killing so that they stay manageable. Trent made the pain a bonding experience, the killing a fun little adventure. Keep them young, keep them dependent, keep them obedient. Father wants you to come home.

I made the Erien out of glass!! (Though some broke off there were originally 24 courts :D)
I was lucky enough to go to a university with a glassblowing shop and I gained rudimentary proficiency in torch work (mostly for scientific glassblowing but art is cool!), which culminated in this model I made for my brother who brought me to the wonderful world of Umora and WBN! Thank you and the group for making such awesome stories :D

The worst types of cookbook:
The Ottolenghi - it is vital that you use 1g of this very expensive ingredient. It comes from a 500g bag with a one-week shelf life.
The time machine - 15-minute recipe! First, leave to marinate overnight...
The dishwasher - one-pot recipe! Now decant your ingredients and wipe out your pot. And again. And again. And again.
The optimist - cook the onions until caramelised (2 minutes).
The kindergarten teacher - get one nommable little tree of broccoli and bosh that into boiling water. Delish!
The brand names only - ingredients: Ritz crackers, Philadelphia cheese, Cool Whip, orange Jell-o...
The 1950s palate - use one (1) clove of garlic and a small pinch of chili flakes (omit if preferred).
The why bother with a cookbook - to make beans on toast, gently heat a tin of beans and put on top of freshly buttered toast.

god I'm such a slut for Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce *decides it’s inaccurate to refer to myself as a slut in light of my minimal sexual activity* if The Enemy discovered my ardor for Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce, they would gain a significant strategic advantage
