Todays painting was an experiment with using mixer brushes. I was determined to figure out a reliable strategy for doing foliage. I ended up doing a mix of painting/dabbing in individual dandelion heads in the foreground, a dappling brush for the midground and then a foliage mixer brush for the far background and for some blending.

I moved blogs so this is a reupload! These are some speedpaints I've done over the last couple of weeks. I tried to stick to 1h per painting and to use as few brush strokes as possible.It's a practice in getting clean confident brushstrokes and getting some tasty textures in there. Brushes: I'm mostly using the default brushes on Photoshop (Kyle's Brushsets) and Tsvetka's Brushsets plus a bunch more I've picked up over the years.
