Weekend Remix: Friends From Out Of Town
Song: Peeps (Dinosaucers Remix) By: Phili D & Bmkikibeats Based On: Theme from Dinosaucers Original Composers: Shuki Levy And Haim Saban
Despite what Dinosaucers might have you believe, going out in the woods will not result in meeting Dinosaur Aliens. In my experience, I’ve only met with tree limbs, (in my hair) owls (also in my hair), and mud (I think you can guess where).
But that’s okay because thanks to the short-lived series, we wound up with one of the catchiest 80s cartoon themes, chock full of light-show lasers and a one word-chorus sung as if it were trying to fill an arena.
Phili D & Bmkikibeats already win points for even attempting to craft a song with this theme. Luckily, it’s a pretty catchy mix, transporting the original into a hip-hop shell.
While Phili D manages to cleverly take the concept of “friends” from the show and make it his own for Peeps, it’s Bmkikibeats that really shines as he manages to sample the theme, transforming this song into a hip-hop anthem about your buddies’ misadventures.
It’s the perfect soundtrack to Phili D’s lyrics.

Until next weekend… GO Party!
I remember making all these albums (7) full of cartoon theme song remixes. Oh boy, good ol’ days. Could have kept my groove and kept on, but my pc died along with all my music files (kits, plugins, audio, etc).
Started up again and have a good amount data. Have been making music and remixes here and there hoping to bring back those good ol’ day feels.
