Any quirk backlash headcanons? Like the kinds of scars or marks someone's quirk might end up wearing into them?
Gigantification/size-based quirks
Examples: Mt. Lady, Fat Gum, Itsuka Kendo
They have stretch marks littering their skin from the constant size change.
For those who grow a specific body part, such as Itsuka Kendo, there are stretch marks on that specific part
People with this type of quirk may develop joint related issues such as more frail bones, arthritis and general joint pain.
Jurota Shishida specifically would have quite a few problems/difficulties. Firstly are those mentioned above for size-based quirk users in general. On top of this he would have hearing, sight and smell sensitivities due to his enhanced senses.
For quirk users with fur in general, shedding, ticks/fleas and overheating are all issues that must be taken into consideration.
Examples (Mina Ashido, Masaru Bakugo)
With excessive use, quirk users may develop extremely sensitive skin, sometimes even developing scarring where acid is expelled with age. This is mostly due to a decrease in their skins natural resistance to acid/corrosive material
Using Bakugo for an example, he would most likely have hearing problems from his explosions, most likely needing hearing aids early on in his childhood or young teenhood at the latest. He would also most likely develop cystic acne and subsequent scars from his nitroglycerin-like sweat as well as easily clogged pores. I personally feel like his skin would be resistant to burning from his quirk but may eventually breakdown and by his fifty’s he would have light scarring on his hands.
In contrast, users like Present Mic may not have the issue of hearing loss. Present Mic’s eardrums are most likely reinforced either naturally or through surgery to be resistant to damage through the use of his quirk. He does, however suffer from throat conditions and voice box minor damages frequently.
Any quirks that change the composition of the skin
Examples: Eijirou Kirishima, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Kamui Woods, Cementoss, Muscular
For these quirk users, overly dry and sensitive skin are their main concerns. They may be sensitive to heat and/or cold weather depending on their type of skin quirk.
There are probably brands that have lotion lines explicitly for different quirk users. The same can be said for any mutant quirks involving horns, fur and fangs. Special toothbrushes are offered for different mouths and teeth. Shampoos for different fur consistency and scent preferences (such as scentless) and glasses to accommodate quirk users like Mei Hatsume.
Examples: Vlad King, Stain, Himiko Toga
These quirk users most likely suffer from a multitude of vitamin deficiencies especially iron, Folate, magnesium and B12 as well as anemia for those like Vlad King in which they manipulate their own blood.
I feel like they may also be more susceptible to getting sick as well
Examples: Shuichi Iguchi, Chameleon and Tsuyu Asui
Temperatures play a huge role in how they are able to function as well as weather (i.e. snow)
For lizard types such as Shuichi, shedding and scale care are a major part of their lives, requiring certain lotions, brushes and other cleaning supplies
For electicity users like Denki, they probably develops scars like those acquired after being struck by lightning and most likely has to drink a lot of electrolytes. I personally feel like his eyesight would suffer from the bright light of his electricity, which is part of the reason why he wears sunglasses.
Psychic Emitter quirk users
Examples: Shinso Hitoshi, Ectoplasm, Shin Nemoto, Shouta Aizawa, Sir Nighteye, Gang Orca, Tomoko Shiretoko (Ragdoll), and Shino Sosaki (Mandalay)
Quirk users of this type most likely suffer from migraines and general headaches quite frequently and may be at a higher risk of developing seizures without proper training. They are more likely to suffer from insomnia and fatigue as well.
Examples: Kendo Rappa, Rikido Sato, Muscular, Yo Shindo
Frequently damaged muscle fibers are a common element as well as near constant muscle fatigue after frequent quirk use.
