I decided to narcisistically descend back into some recreational digital drawing/portraits by doing a self portrait based off of the stuff my “new” (3 months old) haircut was doing

Quick update: I'm installing a piece with my partner tomorrow at the Tang museum, I'll try to take pictures because it's a one day only event! I will also be doing an instillation in the Schick Gallery next week that I'll also try to take photos of. I have a bunch of prints that I'll scan next week and start to upload from the course of the semester but more importantly from my final for the class. Again I regret not posting much here because I don't have much work that I consider to be totally finished right now, I have had to slow down work for fear of injuring myself, and because as the previous point implies much of the work I've been doing is very time intensive. Lastly, I have a warp on the loom right now (the same one from the loom setup time lapse in fact) that's warped for three scarves, I've finished one and am halfway through the next and will ask finish them next week and take them off the loom finally and will take picture off all three as none of them will be identical. So get excited about lots of work being posted in the next 2 weeks or so!

I started this crochet blanket at like 10:30pm Wednesday night (literally the first two rows and I went to bed) and got this far at about the same time last night (Friday) so now it’s Saturday and I’m just like “can I make a whole blanket in one weekend? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

I'd like to update everyone with the knowledge that I made 3 blankets in 2 weeks and hand to stop for fear of injuring my hands

@malusdraco it's me stringing each end of my warp through each heddle (so that when I press the peddles to lift the shafts that the heddles sit in, it will make a specific pattern) and then through each slit/dent in the reed - it generally takes a long time to do and takes up the largest majority of the whole weaving process. Thanks!

This is me putting on some hard ground to a copper plate so that when I put it in an acid bath, only the lines that i scratch away from the ground will be bitten (as opposed to the whole plate), creating crisp lines

I was hand dying some Rayon yarn this weekend with indigo and I am quite pleased =)

I wove this a couple of weeks or so ago and have been wearing it non stop (it's so soft and comfy) so it's already a little lived in. The warp is made of bamboo and the weft is a rayon blend!
