Playing Arctic Scavenger!
Geeky and cute... Now that is what I am talking about!!! #Magic #MagicTheGathering #WizardsOftheCoast #Chandra #ChandraPyromaster
One of the most popular sections at Boardwalk: games that were played on Tabletop. (at Boardwalk - Greenville, SC)
I won the jousting tournament during Ivanhoe. Good thing I had a shield to protect myself!
Seven Dragons is a really fun and simple little game. (at Boardwalk)
I have really been enjoying Seasons lately!
Just thought I would share the t-shirt I am wearing to work today. Working at a board game store has many perks!!
Here’s a preview of the cover I just recently finished for the 3rd volume of Cardboard Crack comics. Hopefully I will be able to make this available for you soon! Don’t forget that the 1st volume and 2nd volume are also available for purchase.
Also, today and tomorrow you can get 15% off all shirts in my MTG shirt shop by using the code MYSHIRT2014 at checkout.
Love this! When gamers love their hobby enough, they will find a place and time to play!
This week’s comic.
This is so funny!
I played my first game if Ghost Stories today. We were able to win at the very last second! (at Boardwalk)

Ohhh, so pretty!
From the word go they had never been friends only the deadliest of enemies! Just two adjacent kingdoms placed next to each other like large colorful beer mats waiting for an oversized pint. The only difference between them was the colour of their flag, red or blue, there was nothing else to separate them, well nothing except a line, a straight but creased boundary line that delineated the edge of their respective kingdoms.
For some reason the armies had agreed to a formal battle, to take turns selecting a champion with which to approach each other’s castles and do single combat. Blue was sneaky though and his champion was no more than a lowly grunt, not even a striker, just a grunt. As he mounted his strider the grunt too one look and then charged forward like a cube of light plastic being flicked with the deft hand of a champion flicker the world had yet to see! He crashed through the poorly lined defence of Red’s castle lancing the king through an open window and flinging him out of his kingdom, all within the blink of an eye. The red King was defeated, Hoorah!
"You Ba***d!" Was all that was heard echoing off the castle wall of reds kingdom as both armies reset their lines ready to go at it again, and again, and again, and again.
The final score was Blue 5, Red 0 as Red stumbled from the table of battle leaving Blue the enviable prize of capturing all the Defeated that had fallen so far from the sides of the battle field and placing them in their box ready for another day of #cubequest badmeeple croydongamers
Wow! I haven't been more excited to research a new game! Thank you for sharing.
Love Letter during the @GeekGirlCon game night! #Seattle #boardgame (at Wayward Coffeehouse Roosevelt)
Love Letter is one of my all time favorite filler games!
What is your favorite board game?
Just curious what board game all you board game lovers like the most. Re-post this around to get everyone’s favorite game
My current favorite game is Lords of Waterdeep. (Ask again next month, and you’ll likely get a different answer.)
Weekly Gaming Report
Just one abbreviated night of gaming this week - it’s been a hell of a week at work.
Sunday:
When I arrived, the group was in the middle of a game of Splendor, and we played another game after they finished the game that I was able to watch. It’s an interesting game, and I definitely want to try it again and see how strategy develops. Apparently it’s very good with two players as well.
Next we broke out Ingenious. I got HORRIBLE draws and came in a pretty distant fourth. Still, I always enjoy playing.
We finished up with Lords of Vegas and finally luck went my way! I got an early scoring casino that gave me a bit of a lead, and although someone else managed to catch me in the late game, the final payout for the strip put me over the top and gave me the win!
Looks like a evening of great fun!!
#364: Turn Taker
Hehe, it’s funny how kids take others’ turns. But seriously, if you don’t move and cure the red disease in Shanghai we’ll have an outbreak and that’ll be game.
Starting a game of Rumble in the House with the family. (at Mirtle Beach)
