Whitty has been one of my favorites of all time since I discovered him. He is probably one of the characters I've drawn the most, and he's definitely one I end up thinking of the most.
With that said... How would you feel about potential ramblings about headcanons?

Okay, so one headcanon that I personally have(and that is really the first to come to mind) is in regards to Whitty's biology. I am among those who believe in the idea that Whitty could just create a fire in his hands and/or throw that around if he wished to, and I have a couple of headcanons about how in particular that would be possible.
First and foremost: I feel like his skin would be both relatively metallic(if not outright being a type of biological metal), and pretty rough to the touch. Those two things combined allowed for the right sort of sudden movements(Like that of snapping fingers, for example) could create a spark.
Of course, a spark doesn't do much without fuel, so in order to make the fire be a thing that's able to happen, I had the idea that Whitty can secrete a sort of oil that would fuel that fire in the first place, which would work a lot like how sweat glands work. This is partially inspired by the canon detail of his tears being flammable, as well as being a potential explanation for how he's able to eat so much without the most obvious ways to remove waste afterwards. The energy keeps him running, and any waste is converted into the flammable material that allows him to quite literally set himself on fire if he chooses to.
That being a form of waste removal also therefore means it wouldn't be something that could just be stopped forever, and with the idea of his skin being rougher, I also had the idea of the oil being able to build up in the miniscule gaps that create that roughness in the first place, which would, subsequently, lead to his skin feeling a lot less rough over time if he doesn't clean or burn it off.
Of course, being on the run wouldn't exactly give Whitty a lot of chances to properly clean off, so that buildup is pretty inevitable, meaning the natural roughness of his skin is also a lot more diminished than it could be, most of the time.

Please consider reblogging this/other positivity posts for schizophrenic/psychotic people every once in a while. If you have more than 100 followers, odds are that a couple of them experiences psychosis and that they rarely see positivity posts for people with their symptoms.

being disabled is easier when youre white.
being a woman is easier when youre white.
being autistic is easier when youre white.
oppression is eased when you are white, as you get extra privileges, and your whiteness is seen as a positive characteristic that in some ways counter-balances your other forms of being a minority. whiteness controls everything.
you are automatically way more innocent in your own oppression as a gay, trans, disabled person because of your whiteness.
