Bobbie’s always so surprisingly warm for someone cold-blooded. When their arms brush, side-by-side, and Bobbie doesn’t pull back, he just enjoys the touch. It’s the human connection, the feelings that he craves late at night. It’s waking up alone and realizing everything is wrong. That you can’t turn over and see a familiar face. He’s considered asking Bobbie to spend the night, to say even when he knows that she doesn’t do that sort of thing. He’s considered, but he hasn’t yet, and he probably won’t.

“Bobbie always struck Victor as a woman of action, not thought,” Victor answers back, but it isn’t an accusation as much as an observation. Bobbie is a renown serial killer, someone he’s seen murder innocents for the sport of it all. That fact doesn’t deter Victor from poking and prodding; he knows just how much he can get away with before he gets a blade at his throat. For whatever reason that fate has, Victor and Bobbie have been through together in this next cycle of life. 

Victor’s fucked Bobbie, he’s talked and traded with Bobbie, and now he has to rely on her for his own mental well-being. The light has been unscrewed in his life, and now he’s clutching to the darkness to pretend it’s still plugged in. It’s all horribly, horribly wrong, but she is all he has and Victor puts his own mental stability ahead of her set ways or comfort. He’s selfish.

She simply shrugs and stares out into the crowd in front of them, watches people go about their day. “Bobbie does not usually think about things, but she has recently been unable to calm her mind.” She doesn’t want to risk attempting a kill, killing now, when her mind isn’t clear would only cause problems, and risk her getting in trouble.

Even if her hands itch for blood and a blade, she’s not about to risk her life or freedom on making a mistake because her mind wasn’t clear. “Eventually Bobbie will clear things up and be back to her usual self.” Killing is still something she enjoys, she’s not about to stop but right now there’s nothing wrong with a break.

She enjoys the comfort just being around Victor brings even though they’re both off their game and working through internal issues.

Victor’s surprised to hear that Bobbie’s found nothing new. He’s also disappointed; he had been hoping for something new and distracting. Maybe Bobbie’s been distracted, too. There’s a lot going around the Atlanta QZ right now, and Bobbie’s probably been busy. Victor’s been busy, too.

“Are you now?” Victor asks with a quirk of his brow. Bobbie, not partaking in her usual fun? Something must be wrong, but Victor isn’t exactly equipped to deal with it. He can’t even deal with his own problems and worries right now, and although he wants to be a good friend to Bobbie, he can’t. At least, not right now. Victor’s left at a sort of loss for words, wanting to comfort her, or reach out at least, but unsure of what he should say or do. He lets out a large sigh, thankful for his always-present sunglasses.

She leans closer to him when he sighs, their arms brush and she holds the position they’re lightly touching, she’s trying to comfort him as best she can, as best as she’s ever able to.

“Bobbie has been busy thinking.” She’s been thinking far more than she’s used to, she doesn’t usually care about how other people feel but she finds herself caring. Bobbie likes to think about killing, it’s the only time she really thinks about other people. But now, she’s been doing nothing but wondering how Victor is doing, she’s glad to see him alive.

“Victor’s still in one piece.” It would normally come with a cocky smile, maybe even a wink, but not this time. Victor finds solace in the fact that Bobbie seems to be a little off of her game too. He gives her a once over, taking a spot next to her so that he isn’t in her line of sight. Bobbie looks out at the crowd, and Victor follows suit. People watching is something that’s always come easy to him, and over the span of a couple of minutes of silence, Victor’s managed to spot a half dozen potential marks. Bobbie’s probably found more, because he lacks her experience, but existing in silence is easier than dealing with what he’s feeling, so that’s what he does.

“Anything new in our fishbowl?” he has to ask, because it feels like Victor’s dead in the middle of everything, but it also feels like he’s been dropped off outside of the QZ and no one bothered to tell him.

She thinks about his question, mulling it around her head for a moment, “nothing has really come to Bobbie yet.” She thinks about the hunters and her new position with them. She wonders if he’s seen them, spoken to any of them and she wonders if he’d be interested in joining. She shakes the thought from her head. He needs time away from bit questions right now.

“Bobbie has been taking time, taking a break from my usual kind of fun.” If she’s honest, she hasn’t stepped foot outside the QZ since she saw Parker, since she came back and broke the news to Victor, she hasn’t killed either and it makes her itch to have fun.

Clarity is a Necessity // Victor & Bobbie

It’s been too long, but it still feels like yesterday. Victor’s mind has been a whirlwind of emotions for the first time in his life, and it left him reeling for clarity. It’s still very hard to find. He’s spent his time buying, selling, keeping himself as busy as possible. He’s slept with all of his old pit stops, spent the nights prowling inside and outside of the QZ, looking for answers. He’s yet to find any of them, but it doesn’t stop him from looking nonetheless.

He spots Bobbie, not too far off. Just as Victor always moves so gracefully, like a cat, Bobbie posseses her own feline features that make her incredibly easy for him to spot. Victor tucks his hands into his pockets as he approaches her, a fresh red shirt from the market. He figures it’ll have a longer shelf life if he gets blood spatters on it.

“Hello, beautiful,” Victor calls out, the smile only partially forced on his face. Despite her status as the bearer of bad news, Victor still finds comfort in Bobbie. After all, right now, she’s the only one he has left.

She’s unsure of what she really wants to be doing right now so Bobbie simply walks, moves through the world without really seeing where she’s going. She can’t get Victor’s face out of her head, the pain in his eyes is burned into the back of her mind. She’s drawn out of her memory when she feels someone approaching and her hand goes to the blade hidden in her jacket, but when he speaks she calms and drops her hand. Victor is no threat to her.

“Victor.” She sees him smile as well as he can right now and she aches again for him, her and Parker weren’t friends but Victor is what most would call her best friend, he was as close to family as she would ever get and she’s still struggling with feeling his pain. She scans his face, he looks better than he had been before but she can still see the pain.

She smiles at him, not her usual smile but she doesn’t feel like faking in front of him. “Bobbie hopes you are as healthy as you can be.” She’s not going to ask him if he’s okay, she knows he’s not okay but he’s alive and still fighting, health is all she can manage to ask him about today.

She turns her gaze away from him and thinks she needs to kill, all these feelings are something she doesn’t want to feel for long.

“I will set up a meeting with the current hunters, just me and them. Let them know about you first then you can introduce yourself.” Nadine looks around the room another time before heading back to the door and into the hallway. She waits for Bobbie to follow before closing and locking the door.

“I can see a wonderful future working with you Bobbie.”

Nadine listen still looking around the room planning the exact set up. She makes a long mental list and makes sure to tell Clyde to get others together to get the supplies and furniture she needs and wants for the room. This floor is meant to be blocked off from others getting there. Nadine can hope that means there is furniture in the rooms that they can break int and use. When Bobbie mentions being able to make people shut up Nadine knows what she means.

“I do appreciate this as a sign of trust from you Bobbie.” Nadine gives a light smile to show that she does actually mean her words. Nadine does know how nice it would be to have Bobbie on her side. Especially now being with out a killer. “I would like to offer you a actual set place with us. This would mean meeting with everyone so they will know who you are and we do have a few rules I would need you to promise to follow. But mostly, as long as you are not doing anything to put this group at risk, you can do what you please.”

Nadine waits trying to judge Bobbie’s reactions. She isn’t going to want to control the girl like other groups might try to but she would expect Bobbie to be able to listen and follow orders.

Bobbie listens as Nadine talks, she likes the sound of her voice and she knows she won’t let Nadine down. “Bobbie will not do anything to betray you and the rest of the group,” she stands from the desk and moves closer to Nadine. “I will be honored to be with you and the rest of your Hunters.” She means it this time far more than she meant it when she joined Rodney, she joined him more out of necessity and now, now she wants to see far more about what this group can do for her.

“Just let Bobbie know when to meet and I will be there. And do not worry, Bobbie is very good at what she does. She will do well for you.”

Nadine take the key out of her front pocket and walks forward to the door. She hopes this isn’t some trap. There were people who knew about her in Pittsburgh who left. For all she knows some of them could be here and could recognize her and have this set up to make sure she get out of Atlanta before she has a chance her.

Pushing the key into the lock Nadine pushes past the paranoia and turns the lock. It clicks open with ease and Nadine pushes the door open. It nice. One of the the larger room that Nadine had seen. By the four beds around the room it makes it clear how many people were meant to be here when it was a dorm. The decorations looks just like any typical college student and Nadine can see that they most not have cared to make this place more of their own. Nadine on the other head is picturing moving the beds out and finding more items to fit in.

“This is a wonderful find. I assume you are the one who found it for your old group?” Nadine talks with her back to Bobbie as she moves into the room. She opens up on the the closet doors, perfect size for Gregory to use for a supply home.

Bobbie walks in behind Nadine and walks around the room slowly, “Bobbie found it for Rodney.” She shrugs and slides up to sit on the desk. “Bobbie found Rodney as well.” Bobbie knows she did a lot of things for him, killed for him, she sometimes wonders what he would have done without her, if he’d still have lived as long as he had.

She’s happy she’s found someone to take this place, it’s free and clear for anyone, now there’s actually use for it, and Nadine is just the type to take it. She’ll actually get good use out of the place. “Bobbie hopes it is of use to you.”

“It is easy to get to as you know, it is not often traveled. And even if it is, any who come us this way would not be interested in revealing how they saw you. And Bobbie is very good at making sure mouths are kept shut.”

Surprise Meeting || Bobbie & Jesse

Jesse still can’t help but look in total awe of the girl in from of him. “I assume you are Bobbie?” It a safe assumption considering she seemed to be talking about herself. Jesse hand falls from the pipe. He is to distracted by the dead bodies of infected burned on the ground to pay much more attention to it.

“Yea, I was trying to gather some supplies to sell in the market.” Jesse looks at her to answer the question but then his eyes fall back onto the infected. “Sorry, that just impressive.” When Jesse looks up she is already talking about leaving and needing somewhere to be. “Oh yea sorry. Thanks for that, makes a clear path back inside.” Jesse watches as Bobbie turns and walks always. He waits a bit before kicking the dead infected and heading back inside the wall.

Victor’s hands fall to Bobbie’s waist as relief floods his system. He knows that this isn’t fair to Bobbie, not at all, but Victor’s petty and selfish and needy right now. When the kiss breaks, Victor looks down at the ground. It was momentary relief in a sea of pain, and his chest aches like the coldest of ice picks has been lodged in there and won’t be moving any time soon. One of Victor’s hand drops from her waist to reach for her hand.

“Please,” Victor begs, and it’s so pathetic that he can’t stand himself in that moment. He pulls on her hand, hoping that Bobbie is willing to look past it all and follow him back to his apartment.

She’ll do whatever she needs to for him, she cares about him and while she thinks this isn’t exactly what he needs she’ll do what he wants, sex isn’t something she really cares about, not as much as getting a good kill. But some take comfort in it.

She follows, she sees the pain in him, seeping off him. She looks him in the eyes and she’ll do whatever he needs. She feels his pain, as though it’s partially her own, she didn’t care much about what happened to Parker but right now her friend is hurting and he needs her.

Victor’s hold on Bobbie doesn’t slacken, but he pulls back, trying to read her face again. But no, there are no lies, no smirks, no smug satisfaction. Only Bobbie, beautiful Bobbie who is being so serious with him she isn’t even talking in the third person. Bobbie who isn’t lying about the fact that Parker’s out there dead somewhere and Victor couldn’t save her before and he won’t even be able to give her body a proper burial. If he finds Parker, an infected, shell of Parker out there, it won’t end pretty. Besides, she would have taken care of if herself. Parker could be selfish, but when it came down to it, she loved him too. And now she’s gone.

So Victor does the only thing he knows how to do. He leans down to kiss her, pulling her towards him. Their mouths meet violently, and Victor can taste blood where his teeth cut into the top of his mouth. It doesn’t stop him from continuing the kiss, begging and pleading for Bobbie to help him, to distract him, if only for a moment. Victor’s drowning and he’s not sure if he can breathe on his own right now.

When he kisses her, she’s surprised but the hides it, kissing him back with the same emotion he gives her, if this is what he needs Bobbie will give it to him. He’s been there for her before and she’s not about to leave him alone now, not when he’s so vulnerable. He’s desperate and Bobbie can feel it, she feels pain for him and she doesn’t like knowing she’s brought this onto him. She had to tell him, she wouldn’t keep something like this from him but it doesn’t change that it’s news no one wants to hear.

Bobbie knows Victor cared deeply for Parker, and if he needs to feels something Bobbie will do what she can to help him feel whatever he needs to feel. She doesn’t really know how he’s feeling, she’s never really cared enough about someone to love them before, what he’s feeling is foreign to her but Bobbie understands the need to release in any way you can.

Denial doesn’t look good on anyone, but it especially looks bad on him. Victor grabs his sunglasses, flinging them off the edge of the roof in anger. He’s somewhere caught between blind rage and unending denial, and it’s a horrible, awful choking feeling that bubbles up in his throat and threatens to melt his brain.

“No.” Victor’s fists ball up into Bobbie’s tank top, and he knows if he was anyone else, any single person left on his Earth, he’d be dead already. But Bobbie’s got a softness for him, something that is so rare and pure. He can see the honestly behind her eyes and it kills him, makes him want to lash out, to murder, to create so much untimely chaos that when he dies, he takes the world with him.

Instead he pulls Bobbie in close, forcing the embrace. Victor doesn’t cry, but he needs the physical warmth of another human being to remind him that he’s alive. He whispers a soft and steady “no, no, no, no,” until his voice cracks and his throat feels raw. Parker’s dead and Victor wasn’t there to stop it, and it’s guilt and love and tenderness he’s going to carry with him until the very day that he dies.

When he grabs her she has to fight all the bells in her head screaming at her to just grab her knife and force him to let go, but this is Victor, he wouldn’t harm her and she wouldn’t let him get far enough to do it, he’s emotional and right now she needs to attempt to stay calm. She lightly grabs his fists, holding him as he breaks in front of her.

“I am sorry Victor. But I swear to you I am not lying to you. I would not be this cruel to you.” She doesn’t think this is something she’d lie about to anyone.She’s not happy with the feeling she has right now, she’s doesn’t like being the one making Victor feel this way.

He’s breaking in front of her and she wishes she had been fast enough to get to Parker, she wishes she had made a noise and she could have made it to Parker before she got bit. But she didn’t and she’s the unfortunate one who has to tell Victor the bad news.

“No,” Victor says, the smile dropping of of his face in an instant. No. Bobbie must be wrong. No. Parker wouldn’t be so careless. She’s fine, he just hasn’t seen her in a couple of days. That’s normal for them. Victor doesn’t keep her on a leash, or vice versa. They still need to talk, to clear the air completely. They’re almost there. Close to happiness. She’s going to come find him any minute now so they can finally be on level footing and talk. So they can finally just be. His fists curl into balls at his side. His sunglasses slip down a little on the bridge of his nose.

“No,” he insists again, at a loss for words for perhaps the first time in his life. He sounds angrier this time. He knows Bobbie is mad at him, because of the Aiden situation, but this is too far for even her. This is too cruel. Bobbie knows of Victor’s feelings and she wouldn’t… she wouldn’t. It can’t be possible. It just can’t. She’s always careful when she goes out. Parker can take care of herself. Bobbie must have seen it wrong. Parker is beautiful, but from a distance she can be generic looking. It was someone else’s ponytail. Not Parker’s. Victor can’t breathe. He’s sucking in air but nothing is coming in because he’s frozen with no smile on his face. No, no, no.

Parker just can’t be dead. It’s not possible. Victor loves her and she isn’t allowed to be dead.

He’s in denial and Bobbie moves around him towards the door, giving her an out if he needs to lash out she’ll leave him to do so, but she feels an ache for him. She’s just told him something terrible and she knows he’s not going to believe her easily. “I am sorry, I promise you, I would not lie about this.”

She was angry with him before, so very angry but she wouldn’t do this to him. She would not lie to him like this, it would end their relationship and she has no interest in doing that. “You know I am not mistaken, I know her movements. I can take you to where it happened. The men should still be there, it was not Parker that brought on the infected. The idiots who jumped her were idiots.”

The pain of her words are seeping off of him in waves, and she would have to be the one on the receiving end of this. But if he needs her too, she’ll take the trip back out and show him where it happened. “I do not know where Parker went, but I am more than certain, Parker was bitten.”

He’s cloud watching, again. Every since he and Parker sort of made up, Victor’s head has been lighter, always wanting to point up. He looks for elephants and lions and zebras and giraffes. He looks for the simple things, and every so often, he looks down on the people below. Victor finds the silence simple, almost numbing. Easy. So when someone breaks it, their steps so light and nimble that Victor can barely hear him, he’s grateful for the break in silence.

“Is Bobbie still angry at Victor? Hatchets don’t grow on trees, you know,” He jokes, but when Victor turns around, white cold dread buries into his belly. He picks himself off of the edge of the roof top, slowly walking up to where Bobbie is standing. He’s not sure if he’s ever seen this look on Bobbie’s face, and Victor and Bobbie are close, very close. 

He’s seen Bobbie killing, he’s seen her post-murder. He’s seen her angry, and happy, and even betrayed. He’s seen her spiteful and vicious and light and satisfied. He’s seen her completely naked, in both the physical sense, and the sense that Bobbie does not put up any fronts around him. So when she looks so serious, and there’s a look he doesn’t notice on her face, warning flashes in front of Victor’s eyes.

She decides getting straight to the point, she doesn’t know how to be anything else but direct in moments like this and she would like to think he’d rather just hear it instead of dancing around. She does not move from where she’s standing. “Bobbie was outside the QZ, doing what Bobbie does, Standing on a roof and watching those around her, checking to see if any area has had issue since I was last there.”

She takes a deep breath then, steps a little closer and makes sure their eyes are locked, she wants him to see the truth in her eyes. “I heard a noise. Fighting, when I saw what was going on Parker had been jumped, she was doing well against two starved scavengers, but the noise brought infected.” She steps closer again, there's a few feet between them. “I saw Parker get bit Victor.”

She shakes her head and breaks eye contact, moving towards the edge of the roof. “I ran to get there in time to help in some way, but by the time I arrived the two men were dead and Parker was simply gone. I do not know where she went, but I know she was bit. I am sorry Victor.”

Bobbie was not happy. Dread was building in her gut and she hated the feeling. She made her way to Victor, spotting him on the roof above her. She’s in no rush, working on what to say to him through her head, she gets to the building and decides to see how far she can go on the stairs, and begins the slow climb. Each step feeling a little heavier. She hopes he is alone, she has no interest in giving him this news with his little shadow around.

She gets to the door to the roof, and pushes it open, surprised to see it open so easily. Checking to make sure there’s no traps and steps out onto the open air of the roof. She watches him stare out onto the QZ, she has no interest in doing this but she knows she has to, he can’t be left in the dark, Bobbie knows he cares deeply for Parker and Bobbie doesn’t want him to think she’s simply left him.

She moves slowly, letter her feet fall and make enough noise so he knows someone is there. Making it to his side she stands, the darkness surrounding them, she’s sure he can feel the tension in the way she stands. Turning her head she watches his profile, he does not deserve this, she thinks, not at all. Bobbie kills, she enjoys doing it but here and now the knowledge of death doesn’t excite her. It makes her sad, but only in the way that she knows how it will make Victor feel.

“Victor, we must speak.”

Surprise Meeting || Bobbie & Jesse

It has been a while since Jesse’s trip outside the zone with Aiden. While they found enough supplies to make the card value pretty high, even split between the two, Jesse still a few days later felt the need to leave the walls again. Trying to stay away from the card tables made him feel more locked in and Jesse knew it was either leaving or spending everything they just made.

Jesse moved found his away out of an old house and back into one of the side alleys today. He had only been out for about 3 hours but the late start caused him to feel the need to already head back in. Turning a corner Jesse stopped quickly at the sound of the runners. He slowed himself back and around the corner to see three of them standing about 20 feet away. About to turn and head back a different way Jesse froze as a bottle smashed at their feet from somewhere he didn’t see.

The infected light up, letting out screams and Jesse couldn’t stop his jaw from dropping. A few seconds passed and the screaming died down Jesse moved forward to check out the damage. His hand stayed on the metal pipe and he couldn’t help but spin quickly when he heard someone to his left move out from behind a car.

Jesse didn’t recognize the girl but he assumed from how nice her clothing looked she had to be from inside the QZ. “Did you throw that?” Jesse couldn’t help but sound shocked and impressed all at once. “Damn.”

Bobbie smiles when he mentions her work, smiling at him she shrugs, “it was nothing, Bobbie just felt they looked a little cold.” She can’t help but laugh a little at her own joke, and she closes the lighter in her hand, slipping it back into her pocket, she’s going to need to find a new one soon.

She gets a better look at the man in front of her and he looks well enough fed so she knows he must be from inside the QZ, “you must be on a little walk?” She decides she’s not in the mood to kill him so she drops her hand from where it’s had been subconsciously reaching for her knife. Tilting her head she watches him closely, pipe in his hand and she’s glad to see he’s smart enough to carry a weapon.

Hefting her bag more carefully on her shoulder Bobbie gives him a smile, and turns to face down the road, “Bobbie hates to cut this meeting short but she has somewhere she needs to go, have a day.” She doesn’t spare him another glance and makes her way to her safehouse.

Bobbie left that day and Nadine knew for a fact the girl would be back when she told her too. Bobbie showed much to high of a interest that Nadine could now say wasn’t because she wanted to turn them in. That is unless the girl was an actress along with being a serial killer before the out break. Either way, Nadine wasn’t surprised when she opened her door to see Bobbie was the one who knocked.

While Nadine was going alone with the girl she didn’t put her full trust into her yet, If Nadine put her full trust into anyone who wanted to become a hunter on first meeting she would be dead, Pittsburgh would not have been hers, and she would not be here right now. Still, Nadine was playing a game, testing the girl, a trail run so to say. While her test where not out right orders as other’s might be, Nadine still found it easy to read people and knew just a few questions could lead to answers which would tell her who she could and couldn’t trust.

Nadine would be lying if she didn’t say she was very interested in having the Brooklyn Slasher next to her. Anyone who didn’t want a know serial killer who had not been caught on their side Nadine would call an idiot. She let Bobbie lead the way. “So this old group you had, this is where you all us to meet? And you were never caught coming and going from it?” Nadine turned with Bobbie. She new the next two floors were suppose to be blocked off but when Bobbie turned to the stairs and started heading up Nadine wondered how many people ignored the militarys orders and came up here. “Did you ever see anyone besides your group up here?”

Bobbie is in an odd mood when she goes to see Nadine but she’s not about to mess this up, not when she knows she’s still sitting on the fence, waiting for Nadine to fully pull her to her side or push her off to the other, she sits and waits for Nadine to finish speaking, and quietly contemplates her answer. “Yes, we would meet here occasionally, no one really payed us much mind.
