“Well because tell you the truth, I don’t know much about dark magic. So I thought maybe the best way to find out was to ask you?” Even though he could easily learn the information through reading and such, he much rather have someone else show him examples of things. So this was a good way to get that started.

“....I see. You came to the right person then.” She looked around the open field they were both standing in, locating a patch of the flowers she had been searching for. “...Then we can start with-” Tharja quickly gasped, cutting herself off. No. Wait. She can’t start teaching him with this hex...he’ll know it’s directed at him..

“...We...can start as soon as you want.”

It felt more normal for the tactician to be walking side by side with someone. Looking around a bit, Hiro wondered what she was making that required some sort of flower. When he thought about it, dark magic and hexes in general didn’t really make sense to him…That’s when it struck him. “Hey Tharja, you should teach me about hexes and stuff.”

“..If I may ask, what brought upon this sudden interest to learn about hexes and the like?” Not that she was complaining. If she were to decide to teach him, this will just allow her to continue spending time with him. Alone even. Tharja can only hope that he doesn’t decide to suddenly ask Henry the same question.

“Well, I am the groups tactician, so it’s sort of my job to be as observant as I can be.” Walking behind her, it really was an odd change of worlds if some may say. He didn’t like the idea that she only saw his back and hardly anything else. So with that, he picked up his pace to walk next to her instead of behind. “Well, we can always walk like this also.”

“...” She grew silent when he began to walk alongside her, tensing up slightly. Oh...this was nice too. Actually, it was much better than staring at him from behind. It took her a few moments for her collective thoughts to finally form a sentence, which she was hardly even able to voice out. “..Yes..like this....also..” Tharja stammered softly, resisting the urge to grab his hand then and there.

Hearing what the mage said, the tactician gave a small nod and smiled. “Well if they are nearby then I’m sure we can get plenty of them. With and without roots.” Walking over so that he was behind the mage, a small chuckle escaped his lips thanks to a rather odd thought he had. “It seems like I’m the one behind you this time Tharja. I wonder why you are always fine with looking at the back of my head?” Really, if she didn’t want to answer she didn’t have to, though he did wondered. 

“...Oh..?” She came to a halt, turning her head to look at him. “...I have my reasons.” The main reason being that she could gawk at him without being noticed. Still, she didn’t think it was that obvious. She began to walk again, merely shrugging it off. “..I would have never noticed such a small detail like that. You’re quite observant.”

“Really? Well, then I guess we should get moving huh?” Really, Hiro never really had any sort of guard up near any of his soldiers. He had no reason to, though if anything, he would be lying if he said that Tharja didn’t scare him just a bit every once a while. Looking around a bit aimlessly, the tactician then looked back at the mage and tilted his head. “So where should we go to get these flowers?”

“They’re all over outside the camp grounds.” She turned her body as she began to explain, motioning the other to follow her. “The soil here seems to be in perfect condition for them to grow. They’re a light shade of purple. I’d prefer it if we pluck it from off the ground with the roots attached...they make for a good incense.” While the flowers were abundant during spring and such, it was hard to find them during this season. “I was going to ask Henry originally for assistance, but he suddenly vanished to who knows where.”

That question really threw him off, really he wasn’t used to Tharja inviting him to any sort of thing like this. Really, ‘normal’ Tharja and normal Tharja were both creepy in their own ways, though he got used to it. Yet, he didn’t know if this was a good or bad thing at all. Giving a small nod, he smiled at her. “Yeah, I can help you with that. I was going to my tent to read though picking flowers works also.”

“It won’t take up much of your time. I assure you, you’ll be reading your book in an hour or so.” While she had repeated this hex multiple times in the past week, she was CERTAIN it was going to work this time around. Yes, it was nearing the double digits now, but she had a good feeling about this certain day.

“The frog legs and the flasks right?” Really, the only one Hiro didn’t have to write down was Tharja’s. Not because she ordered the same thing all the time, no she ordered a variety of things. The only reason he truly remembered was because of how odd they were really. He sort of questioned at times what she did with this stuff in reality…

“Correct.” The mage hummed softly to herself, her gaze drifting for a moment before her interest was sparked. With slight enthusiasm in her voice, she spoke once more, her posture much straighter than it had been before. “Are you busy at the moment? I require some assistance. There were some wild flowers scattered around the campgrounds and I would enjoy some company as I pluck them from the earth.” To be specific, HIS company would be nice.

The tactician had just returned from his run in the town. There was some people that wished for him to grab a few things for them before they went back to traveling. When he finished giving out the things he had bought for the group, he had started to walk towards his tent. Though on his way there, he felt a sudden chill run down his spine. There has only been a few times he had felt this before, so he could sort of guess what was going to happen. So he chose to pay no mind for it.

Mostly so she can have some fun every once in a while, she always did seem to be rather serious to him after all.

“Welcome back, Hiro. Did you retrieve the items I have requested?” Tharja asked suddenly, placing a hand on his shoulder, a very soft giggle escaping her lips. “I require it to perform....a certain hex.” One that also involved a lock of his hair, something she would keep to herself.

Tharja had been wandering around camp all day, her mind lingering in a mild state of sleep and relaxation, while her body remained awake. She wobbled around with soft sighs, while the people around camp gave her the daily dose of glares she usually got. The mage had been planning on returning back to her tent...until she sensed him. She turned her head quickly, her eyes skimming the area for her target before finally noting him from afar.

“....~” She slowly began to approach him, a delighted leer spread on her usual monotone face.

It wasn’t unusual for Celty to be approached on the street by strangers, often young, curious people with little better to do. But this was the first time anyone, aside from Shinra, had openly spoken to her so forwardly.

“No, no. You're just the person I have been looking for. The Headless Rider..it only took me weeks of comparing your sightings and such to pinpoint where to find you next..and here you are..~” The female took a step forward, grinning. “..You wish to know my name? Me? Oh, the honor..it makes my body tingle..I am Tharja. Now, regarding your head...or lack of..”

When he heard her answer to his question, he couldn’t help but smile a bit. Yeah she was odd, though, that also meant that she fit in the city pretty well. Closing his eyes, he started to think of the distance between where they stood and his apartment. After a while, he just gave a small shrug before opening his eyes to look at her once more. “I can’t really tell you, but I guess I can just run home if it’s really needed. I don’t want to take your time up more then I already am.”

“Also, I’ll choose to remember or forget this event if I please, and I believe that I will like to remember it. Though it would be easier if I had a name to remember with said memory.” Mikado smiled at the woman that stood in front of him.

“...” She shrugged, looking to the side. “As I said, I might as well. There’s nothing or no one waiting for me at the store nor home. There’s also the fact that this weather is just going to get worst. Also, I'd rather not have my subconscious sneaking up and guilt tripping me for leaving someone idiotic enough to stand in the rain with no umbrella out on their own. For all I know about you, if this weather were to turn into a thunderstorm-” Which seems to be likely ”-You’d continue to stand here until a lightning bolt would take notice of your presence and decide to accompany you. That'd be quite a shocker for you..” A somewhat delighted leer appeared on her facade, amused with her own pun. One hand moving to cover her mouth from her dry chuckle. Her usual frown soon returned, no hint of the chuckle a few seconds earlier present.

The frown on her features only grew as she considered the male’s words. When she had drawn an apt answer, she would close her eyes, reopening them with a faint sigh.  “...I'd prefer if you didn't remember this. I have a reputation to uphold and I don’t want random strangers coming up to me, thinking I care about their problems or issues. As for my name, it’s Tharja. I’m not from around here. Though I’m pretty sure even the dullest of minds could figure that out.”

Hearing what she had to say, all the boy did was just nod. There was time when strangers helped each other out just because one of them were in a good mood. So he can see this as truly just that, another stranger being in a good mood and choosing to help him out. Looking at the rain once more, he rubbed the back of his head before looking at the girl that choose to help him once more. There was a problem with this in his mind, not a bad one at all, just a problem.

“So uh…Are you going to walk me home or were you only shielding me for the moment and I have to run home now?” Really he was fine with either choice that she might of just came up with, just as long as he got home before any strange habits of his choose to kick in. Namely, being possessed.

Tharja gave a slightly amused smirk at the question. Placing a hand under her chin she would lean forward a bit, eyes narrowing with a rather devilish undertone. “I already wasted my time shielding you for the moment. Might as well go all the way for extra goodie points.” Anyways, it’s not like she was in a hurry to get to the shop, in all honesty. It’s not like she had a line of customers waiting for her arrival. The winds were also starting to become stronger. Even she wasn't that pointlessly cruel to leave the other.

However, her smirk was short lived, as she retained her cool composure quite promptly. “Is your home far from our current location? Because, while I have no qualms walking you home, you should forget this nice little event ever occurred.”
