if you want your female characters to both have agency in the story and be complex human individuals then sometimes bad things have to be their fault
Boy do I have a game called "Tales of Berseria" to tell you about
gosh i know im not going to be the only one to say this but i feel so horrible for Ryan. he spends the whole episode missing his mom and wanting to see her, feeling guilty about what his last words were. when hes not asking to see her hes doing homework like a good boy just how his mom taught him or saying that he cant say “hate” because his mom says its a bad word. he then goes through a horribly traumatizing rescue attempted, where his ears hurt, he gets into a car accident, and then runs through the woods terrified, then watches in horror as someone he thought he could trust tries to kill his mother right infront of him, and as he cries out for stormfront to stop, he tries to stop her, he kills stormfront and if thats not traumatizing enough he accidentally nics his moms throat watching her slowly die. and THEN his dad shows up, covered in blood and he hides behind a man he met all of 5 mins ago because he trusts a stranger right now over his dad. and then he gets taken away to be raised by strangers.
I said this on reddit, but I want Mallory to take Ryan to her son/daughter. It'd give Ryan a caretaker to avoid becoming Homelander 2, and they'd get a second chance at being a parent after the Lamplighter incident
I love tea time
The "stayed out of drama" part aged well
So people are saying “Let’s Wait for Evidence” on the Adam Kovic situation. Where was that attitude when Vic Mignona got blacklisted from the entire industry!!!!
Vic Mignogna stans shut the fuck up challenge
I've been thinking a lot about lamplighter since the episode aired. Can you imagine the extent of this man's hate for himself? At first i thought it wasn't genuine because, like, just kill yourself man, stop being Vought's pawn and corroborating with the pile of tragedy that they leave behind; or just do something stupid and get yourself killed. But, clearly, he was just waiting for The boys to show up in his life again because only then he would get his proper punishment, and give that to them would be the least he could, after what he's done, a poor semblance of justice.
I just really loved what they did with this character, and i hope, from the bottom of my heart, that he doesn't get killed at least until the end of season 3.
do we know exactly when lamplighter retired?? was it directly after he killed mallory’s grandkids, like he realized what a monster he was and didn’t want to play for the big leagues anymore? and what was he like before too, was he on the same level of insanity as homelander or was he a more passive member of the seven?
I don't think his retirement was immediately after the incident with Mallory's grandchildren, because that was five years prior and his retirement is what caused Annie to audition for, and end up joining The Seven at the beginning of the series
Eric Kripke’s video is so funny!
Shout out to that fucking spoiled brat Ronnie
The moment Jensen Ackles makes his first appearance on The Boys I'm deleting Tumblr, because I REFUSE to deal with Supernatural fans again
Gonna be real, the constant bitching about that The Boys ad was more annoying than the ad itself
me @ the spn fandom after jensen was confirmed for the boys s3
Fuckin hell was black noir CRYING?? I-

In response to the R*ylos and their ‘#/bringbensoloback’ campaign I’m starting my OWN brand new campaign called “kill Kylo Ren again” where in Kyle becomes the first force ghost to die and be completely erased from existence forever. Reblog to join the movement
Gotta do it
I don’t care what news I get I just want this stupid potato dog on my dash
i said if you voted for jason todd to die in that poll, your mom’s a hoe
But I wanted Red Hood 😂
It kinda sucks as a Cass Cain fan to see everyone praising the BoP trailer. It looks like they've already dropped the ball on her so hard.
I'm still super excited for the movie, mainly for every other character that isn't this broken dollar store discount Cass
Birds of Prey Trailer
So the only thing that makes her “Cassandra Cain” is that she’s Asian…if they changed her name to anything else would it make any difference ?? She literally just seems like Harley’s accessories that’s being used to give more depth to Harley’s character. I literally do not “see” her at all in this, so can I really be excited to “finally see Cassandra Cain” on the big screen?
People love to use the excuse “as long as the spirit of the character is there” , which I still don’t see usable this time as her key CHARACTERIZATION is not there?? The fact that she’s being guided by Harley and not Barbara Gordon changes who she is in my opinion, since Barbara Gordon is such a big part of her story. Cassandra knew it was it was wrong to kill since she’ was 8 years old, so the scene with her possibly killing those people in the car…wtf?? and her disability is just erased? Would having an asian character with a disability go beyond their diversity quota for this movie ???
And I’m seeing people say that this is a positive as the popularity of this character will give Cassandra exposure to the general audience. If the GA likes this version of her character then I doubt we’ll see her actual personality on the big screen. How was using a popular character like Harley justify changing her characterization to be used in her movie?
They used Wolverine to give X-22 exposure. A character the GA knew nothing about even though she was just a little girl, badass fighter, and didn’t speak much (Cassandra Cain did it first!). &The GA loved and wanted to see more of it!
Look at what they did with Dick Grayson in the 1997 Batman & Robin movie? How many live action films have we seen Dick Grayson or Robin in since? Does the GA even know who Richard Grayson is or do they just know Robin as “Robin”.
As an Asian American who holds the Character Cassandra Cain very to my heart, this was so disappointing. I’m more happy about the little cameo we got of her in Young Justice than this. Other than her 2020 graphic novel, the most I can hope for at this point for is that she will get her own animated movie with her true origin story in the near future.
I'm excited for the movie, but yeah, Cass' entire character (or lack thereof) is my one real big complaint. I'm usually all for changing things and taking liberties with the subject matter, but.... oof
