Sakura Part II - nighttime walk along Meguro River

I like the Meguro river & area even during cold & grey winter days, when the concrete-lined canal really isn’t much of a sight (but the many cute boutiques and yummieh cafes in the vicinity make up for it). But during Sakura - Cherry Blossom Season - it really is something else. During the Sakura festival, the riverbank with its 800+ trees is flanked with little booths selling food and sake, and hundreds of lampions light up more than 2km along the river… It makes for a really beautiful stroll (or a fun Hanami night out). You’d better not be afraid of crowds though!
