Hi ☺️ I've been obsessed with Kurodai for a long time, and I've finally finished a fic for them. https://archiveofourown.org/works/79890161
This is a short snippet of a potential fic for day 1 kurodai week for the prompt fake dating. I don't know if I'll ever actually finish it. 😂 Enjoy!
“Let me get this straight. You made a bet with Bokuto to see if you could get me to go on a date with you? How did that happen?” Daichi raises an eyebrow at Kuroo, crossing his arms over his chest.
Kuroo thinks back on his earlier conversation with Bokuto and cringes, shaking his head. Honestly, Bokuto had mentioned something about Daichi being ‘hard to get’, and Kuroo might've challenged him on that. All Kuroo's broke college kid brain really cared about was the mention of money for completing the bet.
“That doesn't matter!” Kuroo practically shouts. “What matters is that 5,000 yen is on the line.”
“And what do I get out of this?” Daichi asks monotonously, sounding unimpressed with the whole situation.
“A once in a lifetime opportunity to go on an awesome, wonderful, amazing date with yours truly?” Kuroo blinks, trying for his best innocent expression.
Daichi rolls his eyes and shows no indication of agreeing to the proposal.
Kuroo decides he isn't above begging at this point. He imagines the possible protein options he could buy with that money to add to his current cup ramen only diet. Getting on his knees, Kuroo tugs at Daichi's sleeve. “Please, Sawamura, do this for me?”
Daichi quickly looks up at the ceiling of his dorm room and covers his face with one hand. “Please get up,” he grumbles.
Kuroo quickly jumps up and peers down at Daichi. Just behind his hand, Kuroo can see the edges of Daichi's lips turned up into a small smirk.
“Did you really think I'd say no?” Daichi drops his hand to reveal his full conniving expression “I just wanted to mess with you a little bit, but I didn't think you would go so far.”
Kuroo lets out a whine and softly shoves at Daichi. “Hey, there's money on the line here. You'd do the same. Imagine the pork we can add to our ramen with this. I can't believe people think you're the nice one.”
“I am the nice one,” Daichi chuckles before getting a special glint in his eye that's reserved for food, “We? You're buying me meat? You should've started with that.”
“I don't know if I still want to share my meat with you Sa'amura.” Kuroo sends his own signature smirk at Daichi as he towers over him.
“Too late to take it back Kuroo.” Daichi puffs out his chest, never one to back down when it comes to Kuroo. “Plus you need me for this.”
“Yeah, I do need you.” Kuroo's smirk slightly softens into a somewhat more genuine smile. “So do we have a deal?”
“Deal.”
They shake hands on it.
