Freebatch - James Bond AU
I apologise for the awful quality of these manips.
Ben C for Bond-villain! Martin for Bond!!!
Reblogging for @221b-hound FOR REASONS.
If people thought Mycroft and Sherlock fought the most as brothers they had not seen Quentin and Sherlock fight.
Sherlock was tired of constantly bickering with Q about Bond. If Q wanted to be with someone who lied for a living⊠so be it.
BONDLOCK ⌠If somebodyâs got the mindset to talk normally to criminal masterminds, itâs Bond. (for isthisrubble).
An edit I made about where Q thinks that Sherlock really is dead and had to find out through the horrible stories in the newspaper.
Hi bro! #BondLock
Bondlock - AU
"Your brother is such an annoying dick"
"Funny. Thatâs what his boyfriend always says"
Sir Edwin stood at parade rest, his eyes on the stark figure of Mycroft Holmes silhouetted against the pale winter sky. The man was gazing out the window at a scrubby patch of garden below, his voice and countenance pensive.
"As my colleague is fond of remarking," Holmes mused, "This country sometimes needs a blunt instrument. Equally, it sometimes needs a dagger â a scalpel wielded with precision and without remorse."
Holmes twisted, gazing through the glass wall at the conference in progress. âThere will always come a time when we need Sherlock Holmes.â
"If this is some expression of familial sentiment," Sir Edwin began, his voice raising in question on that last word, so foreign to everything he thought he knew about this man.
Mycroft sighed audibly. âDonât be absurd.â He pivoted sharply, his cold gaze locked on Sir Edwin. âI am not given to outbursts of brotherly compassion.â
That forbidding gaze dropped for just a moment before Mycroft raised his eyebrows in mocking inquiry. âYou know what happened to the other one.â
Sir Edwin fought to keep the grimace off his face, turning back to the window. He had thought it a rumor, carefully cultivated by the enigmatic elder Holmes to strike fear in the hearts of those who might betray him, but if it were actually trueâŠ
Another brother, young and brilliant, separated from his siblings by both age and inclination. A mind capable of perceiving patterns in the chaos â mathematical genius exceeding even that of his mother â isolation pulling that genius inexorably toward the intricacies of computer code and networks. And then underneath it all, the hubris of a Holmes â small violations turning to blatant transgressions until no power, foreign or domestic, was safe from the meddling of a single insolent child.
There one day, gone the next. Killed, exiled, imprisoned â no one knew for certain except the man who stood in front of Sir Edwin now.
Sir Edwin had heard one particularly compelling story, that the child had been subsumed into the great system of British government, his talent turned to defending the security of the nation rather than eroding it, his name replaced with a single letter. âSome horses run better in a harness,â the gossip had said with a significant lift of his eyebrow, and Sir Edwin had snorted at the implication. Sir Edwinâs clearance was the highest in the land. If another Holmes were within the British government, he of all people would know about it. Â
Wouldnât he?

#I donât know what Iâm doing anymore
Genre: Slash | Bondlock | Action/Adventure Pairing: 007/Q Rating: R Status: Complete Chapter: 13/13 A/N: This story is re-writing and integrating of both Skyfall, and the BBC Sherlock episode, 'Reichenbach Falls' (2.03). Out of necessity, the time-frames are somewhat altered, and some plot elements have been changed. Summary:Â MI6 has been compromised, at least one agent inside suspected of working for the criminal mastermind James Moriarty. Bond's assignment is simple: find the mole and resolve the situation. The only catch is that the mission requires something Bond doesn't have in abundance: computer skills. With all of Q-Branch under suspicion he must turn to outside sources, and Mycroft Holmes thinks he has the perfect solution: his youngest brother.

The unholy merging of Reichenbach Falls and Skyfall, and their respective dastardly super-villains.

Captain Watson and Commander Bond.
Boys, are you not breaking some regulations by doing⊠that⊠You know what, never mind, please carry on.
ââââââ-
"Can you follow my finger with your eyes, Commander? Donât move your head, please, Sir." Â John watched the Navy Commanderâs light-blue eyes track left, then up, then back to the centre.Â
Extraordinary. The eyes, not the response. Though this manâs responses, reflexes, and physique were all at the closest to perfect John had seen outside textbooks in med school. They sure as hell beat the norms listed on any RAMC charts. Was the Royal Navy running some kind of eugenics programme in an effort to defeat Al Qaeda?
"I thought Preston was the medic on duty. Dark hair, tall, eyelashes from here to Kazakhstaaaâ"
John placed the depressor against the Commanderâs tongue and pushed down. âIt is her shift, but I was already awake, and she was sleeping so peacefullyâŠâ  The patientâs eyebrow rose, and a gleam lit his eyes as John removed the wooden stick. âOr so I understand, Commander.â
"Bond. James Bond." Without taking those incredible eyes off of John, Bond licked his lips slowly. John found his own gaze jumping back and forth between the crystal blue eyes and the full lower lip.
"Is that your type, then, Captain? Tall, dark-haired, with beautiful eyes? Or do you enjoy a bit of variety?"
Without thinking, John licked his own lips. He was rewarded with an even broader grin.
He cleared his throat. âCommander Bond, you may have sustained a concussion. Do you remember anything that happened to you before the explosion at the enemy encampment? Were youâŠ.detainedâŠ. there for any length of time prior?â The man had certainly been âdetainedâ somewhere, several somewheres, in the past. John ran a hand across a particularly jagged white scar near Bondâs lower right ribs.
"Hang-gliding," Bond offered, nodding toward Johnâs hand. "Or was that one from parasailing? It all sort of blends together. Bit of an adrenaline addict, Iâm afraid. Thrill of the chase. Danger. Breaking rules."
James reached out and laid a hand lightly on the side of Johnâs left thigh. One finger began to trace slow circles against the back of Johnâs knee. âIâd wager you have the same weakness for excitement, Captain Watson.â
John closed his hand around Bondâs wrist and tightened his grip until he saw the other man flinch. What John did NOT do, however, was move the trespassing hand away.
"Commander," he said evenly, "may I remind you that you are my patient. You are currently under my care."
"And I outrank you, as well. Mmm. So many rules to break. Or were you planning to break my wrist, instead, Doctor Watson?"

BONDLOCK ⌠Itâs been three years since the fall and a lot of things have changed.
âWhat now James?â sighed John. John missed Sherlock even more when James jumped at every shadow. There was nothing to worry about anymore. There had not been a peep from Moriarty since Sherlockâs death.
John had no idea why James had reappeared in his life recently except as a way for Mycroft to keep tabs on him.
