in the situation where Alecto’s soul isn’t now also tethered to Harrow’s, I think Alecto would sacrifice herself to also kill John. of course that also makes the assumption John hasn’t tethered himself to anything else to almost double assure he wouldn’t die. though I think it’s safe to assume he hasn’t, which created his desperation to keep the tomb shut. he is of course inadvertently tied to Harrow through Harrow’s tie to Alecto. and whilst technically if it were just Harrow, she could also die for the cause. but it’s not just Harrow. it’s Gideon/Kiriona too. and how the fuck do you kill a dead body reanimated.

I make so many joke posts about tlt because I’m trying to outrun the thought of little baby Harrow wanting to die but refusing to do anything about it directly and then finally finding something to love and live for, only for her parents to kill themselves over it. She literally was a little girl and her parents handed her a noose to hang herself with and they didn’t even wait to see if she did it. They killed the future of their entire House for her and they never even loved her. Ah. Ouch. Oomph.

these characters have already been put through a wringer, it REALLY doesn't matter if people see Harrow as a femme/butch/whatever. it also does not matter what you see Pal as. he wears a nurse dress and writes smut. personally, he's headcanoned as a transmasc butch AND a transfem butch in my house, depending on how we're talking about him (AMAB Pal is a trans woman that doesn't have enough time to understand her egg, AFAB Pal is transmasc and has always used he/him). in fact, there's very few characters in the locked tomb that haven't received at least one headcanon in my heart.
