Deccan Sword
Dated: circa 1800
Culture: Indian
A rare form of Indian sword, the weapon has a hilt reminiscent of those found on the North Indian or Afghan Pulwouar or tulwar sword with drooping dragons head quilions, and a large hollow ‘cup’ pommel. The whole of the hilt is damascened with silver and gold koftgari decoration.
The blade has an unusual broad rounded feature to the top which has sharp edges, it entire surface being decorated with gold and silver designs. The rest of the balde is straight and double-edged, having the edge raised and reinforced, and a central rib along the centre.

Pippin: I didn’t think it would end this way.
Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn’t end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
Pippin: Really?
Gandalf: Well, I mean, I’m immortal. So for me, yes. For you, I have no idea. You probably just die. But yes, I’ll get to go to that green country. Yay for Gandalf.
